Story

Founded by Allison C. Williams, Esq., The Williams Law Group, LLC is a Family Law Boutique practice with an emphasis on complex Child Welfare Law Matters, Matrimonial Practice and Family Law litigation. We handle administrative appeals, DYFS (n/k/a DCPP) litigation, divorce, child custody, support, domestic violence, grandparents rights and appellate advocacy.

I was referred to Allison Williams by a personal friend who had to professionally litigate against her and said "she's the BEST when it comes to family law matters". And in our case, it proved to be true. Allison Williams is a compassionate, talented and gifted lawyer. She helped my family through a difficult time and with her by our side, she guided us through every step of the way and I know we achieved the best results in our situation. I admire her subject matter expertise, knowledge, wisdom, beautiful confidence, negotiation skills and court room presentation. Her office staff is also smart, friendly and strong like her. Her associate, Ms. Clifton is also a very smart, knowledgeable lawyer that gave me her undivided attention and time. She is relatable, very friendly and operates at my comfort level with no pressure to rush thing forward until I'm ready. I don't know what you may be experiencing but you are in great care with the Williams Law Team.

DO NOT HIRE. THEY ARE VERY DECEITFUL and will mislead you. Once they retain your services, they will double their retention quote, and then raise their hourly rate about $100 or more. They will agree to seek counsel fees from the other party. But at the time of the case, will 'mysteriously' not have gotten around to it, and will continue to write up for the next case, and the next case, and the next case. Six plus cases later, they 'mysteriously' forgot about it and won't take up another case until paid for the work they supposedly did.

Both my wife and I were very impressed with the environment as well as the service, and left feeling much better about our situation. Overall it was a very nice experience, and everyone we spoke to was friendly and professional. We have since hired the firm, and hope that doing so will quickly bring our family back together. For those considering hiring this firm or looking for a lawyer for DCPP (DYFS/CPS) Defense, these are the best. We looked thoroughly and this firm is the best option if you are trying to win in family court. This is their specialty, no one else has anywhere near the amount of expertise and experience that they do. However, they are quite expensive compared to most attorneys we have looked at, but when the matter is about your family and your children, the price doesn't matter.

Horrible service.  There own web sits says one of the Division's tactics is to delay to give them more time to build their case.  So that is exactly what they do and my case gets move from Sept 27 to Oct 25.  So I hire A Williams Law Group and get assigned Melissa Barrella as my attorney.  Five days before my new court date she asks for an adjournment with not even a heads up for me and the case gets moved to Nov 27.  So what does the Division do, they open a new case and want psychiatric evaluations for both parents and both children and the court date is Nov 16 for that part of the case.  That is why you should move these cases as fast as possible and that is why I fired you Melissa!

I was told that the attorney I was assigned did not have any other engagements on the Oct 25 court date.
