The Willimantic Police Department is a public safety agency responsible for the safety and security of the residents of the Willimantic Service District.
The Willimantic Police Department was established in 1893 and currently consists of 44 sworn officers with headquarters at the Public Safety Complex located at 22 Meadow St. The department is lead by Chief Roberto Rosado and is a full service law enforcement agency, providing 24-hour service and protection to our community and its residents. The dedicated men and women of the Willimantic Police Department are committed to providing quality service while working cooperatively with the community to enforce the laws, preserve peace, and provide a safe environment thus improving the quality of life of our residents.

The mission is to prevent crime, preserve order, and to protect the rights, lives, and property of the citizens of Willimantic, Connecticut.
