Here are some of the exciting things there is to do and experience at Winjum’s Shady Acres of Faribault:

Fishing. Either off of one of our 8 docks or bring your boat and lake hop. You can also rent a pontoon or fishing boat.

Keep your kids or grandkids entertained with our basketball court, shuffle board court, horseshoes, swimming area (located very close to all our cabins), and our giant playground set! We also have lots of green area to setup your favorite lawn games.

Experience the great food and fun atmosphere of our restaurant and bar. Where there are specials every lunch and dinner. No need to haul so many groceries! We can furnish you with firewood (due to state warnings on Emerald-Ash bore beetles, our guests are NOT allowed to bring firewood to our campground), propane, gas, beer, ice and more. If you don’t have something you need, it’s never a far drive to get it!

It’s never too far from Shady Acres to other destinations…Mall of America, Valley Fair Amusement Park, Cabellas, State bike trails, Zoos, Vikes or Twins Stadiums. Faribault also can boast of several attractions. Go to www.faribaultmn.org to see what our city offers.

Finally after long day of fun, pull-up your lawn chair, relax right on the west shore of our lake. Have a fire and roast some marsh mellows before retiring happily for the evening.
