I'm not sure why Google Maps suggested I rate this, but wth. If I rate one more I get to go up a guide level, whoopee. Do you actually get any benefits from this guide thing? I doubt it. But whatever. This was an ok park and ride. We were there fairly early on a Saturday, it was easy to find parking, just a bit confusing in that we weren't sure what area the 2 hour parking limit signs referred to. Also, unless it's a very small area, a 2 hour limit is stupid. I'm at the park and ride because I'm going to ride the bus somewhere (shuttle to IKEA, as it happened), conduct my business there (eat, sightsee, eat some more, shop - mostly for food), ride the bus back, and - guess what, WISDOT? - 2-way transportation + conducting my business = >2 hrs. So there! Anyway, guess I parked in the non-time-limited zone. Sure hope the poor IKEA employees did, too, since who's only got a 90-minute work shift? Maybe this was meant to be like the DC Metro's "Kiss & Ride" area (which name always makes me gag) which is meant for drop-offs, but I do wish they'd more clearly delineate exactly which area is short term only. Anyway, apart from signage issues, we only had a short wait for the shuttle, which is more kudos to IKEA than WISDOT, but we parked maybe 3 or even 4 hours and no ticket, so it's all good. Still, next time I go to IKEA, I hope they've opened the turn lanes to their own parking lot (which I gather they did/do later in the morning, we were just early), so I can forego the pleasure.
