Love this place, great staff!

Where to start - I had such an awful experience here a few weeks ago I would never go back.  

The ladies in central records in Boca are very nice, instructed me what to do to get my prior films transferred, advising I must sign release, send back to them and my films would be sent there.  Throughout this process I followed up with the location my films were coming from to make sure they got sent out on time and then I checked in throughout the week to make sure they had them, one gal was even nice enough to go through the mail, pull them out and ASSURE me they would be available from central records to Deerfield location for my appointment the next day.

I walk into Deerfield to check in.  The lady at the front desk called me up for my films, I gave her a quizzical look and say central records confirmed you would have them, well they didn't and somehow that was my fault.  She told me to sit down and they started taking others back that had appointments after me because it became obvious to me they didn't have my films.   The front desk woman called me up and said I should have brought them in myself, I explained they were coming from out of town and central records in Boca they had to be sent and they would send them here, I had to go through a whole process with them.  She said "Well we dont' have them", so I nicely (at this point) asked her why and what the solution was.  She became very snitty with me and kept asking me "ma'am what would you like me to do", "ma'am what would you like", in a very confrontational way, not the way you would handle someone if you were truly trying to help them in a solution.  So at this point I got a little firm with her and said "I'd like you to get the films I was assured would be here and I'd like to have my mammogram."  This was probably one of the most stressful days of my life in recent memory and they had no empathy whatsoever - just a nasty front desk woman with no patient skills.  While waiting I actually called the lady I had dealt with at central records who said she woudl take care of it and then that is when my records "magically" appeared over at Deerfield.  Then as I'm being taken back I hear a nurse (the one that dictates the reports) take a phone call from I'm assuming the gal who told me not to worry the previous day she would take care of it calling to aplogize and she said "don't worry, no big deal, it happens all the time" and shoots me a nasty look as I walk by.  Well it was a big deal to me, this appointment was very stressful anyway, no on likes to have a diagnostic mammogram because there were areas of concern on the regular one.  Not to mention the fact that I made the appointment early so I wouldn't miss work and ended up being there 3 hours due to the disjointedness of their "system".  

It was blatantly obvious to me that I "displeased" becasue I called the central records office to speak with the lady who had helped me all week, the front desk and really made no attempt to hide it - they were short and snitty and I didn't appreciate it.  For all I knew at that point, I could have found out I had breast cancer that day so I was really anxious and they did nothing to make me feel comfortable or cared about.  Just acted pissy towards me when their own record chain of command broke down.

They told me they would return my films to their original location - which, to date, has still not happened.  Once again, I had to call central records, speak to the contact who had been so helpful before and she assured me that would happen today.

I would NEVER go back and if that nasty front desk nurse and dictation nurse had been wearing name tags I guarantee I would take the time to write  personal letters to their supervisors about how poorly they treated me.

I would NEVER recommend going to this location.  There must be a reason why you can get into that location and not to the main Boca location.  Shame on you ladies for your poor patient communication and deskside manner!
