I listed my house with Wood Realtors in Jan 2014 and it just sold in May 2014. The experience was deplorable, to say the least. We were "represented" (and I use the term loosely) by a father/daughter team that seemed to be the right choice at the offset, but that was far from the truth.
Issues began to pileup from the get-go, including, but not limited to: late arrivals for showings, needing to work around realtor's schedule instead of other way around, lack of or delayed communication, misrepresentation, unethical methods of conducting business and finally climaxing with my "realtor" not even SHOWING UP FOR THE CLOSING!
Halfway through the process it became evident to me that not only was I not being represented by the persons I had hired to do so, but they were actually representing the person who was buying my house, all along have his best interest in mind instead of mine.
In their defense, however, I guess I got what I paid for: they were willing to take less commission than any other real estate "professional".
Please, save yourself the hassle and pay a little bit extra for someone else: you will be thankful you did. I don't usually write comments/complaints, but in this situation I felt an urgent need to state my experience in order to hopefully save someone from making the poor decision of hiring these individuals.
