I think this zoo is amazing. I buy a yearly pass to take her grandchildren. If you have little ones, check out the Zoomazium, an indoor play area that is pretty amazing. Kids up to age 8 can play here. There is a toddler area also. There is a cafeteria with good food choices and satellite food spots around the zoo. Two gift shops located at the South and west entrances. There is a beautiful indoor Carousel also. During the summer there are concerts and in the winter Christmas light displays. There are three parking lots that you have to pay to stay. They are located on the north, west and south sides of the zoo. If you come early you can find free parking on the west side of the Zoo located on Phinney Ridge Avenue. There is a beautiful Rose garden located just outside the south entrance.

We visited the zoo while on vacation in Seattle and were only able to spend a couple hours there before having to leave. It is a fairly big zoo and we had to rush through. I would have liked to spend a longer time there and I can certainly see people spending a good few hours here especially families. I think you would enjoy it even if you weren't with the family. They have a big variety of species in the zoo and they do a great job of the exhibits. I did not try any of the food so I am not sure about that. I would not mind going back to the zoo if I am ever back in Seattle.

I am not a huge fan of zoos because many of them seem to care more about profits than animal welfare. I can say with complete honesty that I am pleased with this zoo. The animals seem to be well cared for. Their enclosures are sizable and safe, for both animal and viewer. We also enjoyed feeding the small birds. This park took us about 4 hours to get through. I would go to this park again.

We love coming here. The animals have lots of space (which means sometimes we don't get to see each one). The walkways are wide, paved, and shaded. There are a couple places to eat (good food too). The kids love the animals and the indoor Discovery center. As well as the old fashioned carousel.

The zoo is amazing. I love the bear exhibit. It's beautiful and it looks comfortable and homey for the animals. This zoo's habitats make me feel like they really care about the animals and their conservation mission. We always go to the carousel, and are disappointed in the cost increase. Also, parking just went up.
