Went to the zoo with my daughter-in-law Jen was granddaughter Alexis its a nice little zoo. It was cold the day we went but still had a nice time. It was nice spending time with Jen and Alexis. Hope to go back again when its warm. Had a great time in Washington. Miss my son and his family.

A park and zoo and beach all in one beautiful area. My absolute favorite park for over twenty five years now, to go and do all sorts of fun stuff for people of all ages. If you want to play at the beach early arrival is recommended as the parking does not meet the demand of people who would like to do the same activities. You can find trails and safe hiking all through the park. Also if you play pokemon go or your children do this is a great place to take them.

I've been visiting Pt. Defiance since I was a child. Although, I had not been for years until my most recent visit. The zoo has changed quit a bit and it has changed for the better. I was there for Zoo Lights and not to see the animals, per se. Though, I did manage to get some great pictures of the tigers and a few other animals during my first. Pt. Defiance is clean and well maintained. It's very accessible to those who do not walk or walk well. There are plenty of attractions and exhibits for all ages. I would highly recommend Pt. Defiance as one of Tacoma's must see locations.

This place was great! We happened to visit on a day that all residents from Tacoma could get free admission. Thank goodness we purchased our tickets on line and walked straight in. There was a huge line/crowd at the entrance but after we got inside it did not seem crowded at all. Very unique and interesting place. Allow plenty of time because there is a lot to do and see!

This is the perfect zoo for kids! You get to see so many amazing animals, without it tiring out the kids too much. Gorgeous views of the sound. The kids play area is great. We love the polar bears, tigers, and meerkats. Can't wait for the new aquarium to open!
