First let me say I was really excited to open a fitness club membership at this location because it sounded amazing. After working out for my first day of my membership I quickly changed from loving it, to hating it. The only great part of this fitness center is the spa amenities, which are amazing I must say. The gym is very dirty and messy. The equipment is old, which isn't a big deal, but the biggest pet peeve of mine is that the equipment isn't respected or properly cared for. If you have old equipment that is fine because with proper care they can last for a very long time. Going to school for exercise science I have learned many things, and one is to respect the equipment. Members throw around the weights where you can't even fine the weights anymore, and no one is monitoring the weights to fix them and put them in the proper place or tell members to properly put them away. There is only one 10lb dumbbell when I went there and I needed two for my workout, which I adjusted but it's the inconvenience of searching for the weights since it is all very disorganized.

Some of the staff is extremely nice. The lady in charge of the spa was very nice and one of the personal trainers I met was very nice too but the rest of the staff puts off a persona that they do not want to be bothered, or are very annoyed when you ask them a question. Many of the staff are uneducated on membership information, which brings me to my next complaint.

After deciding I wanted to end my membership I went into the facility and the person at the front desk was very short and rude with me. I told him that I wanted to cancel my membership since I had three days to cancel my membership. I was never told that within those three days I actually had to contact their corporate office. No one informed me of this when signing up or when I decided to cancel. The man handed me a form told me to sign it, then I asked if I needed to do anything else and I was told no. So I went on with my day and then today I got charged $70!!! I called their corporate office and spoke to a woman and she told me that I needed to send in a cancellation form within three days, but I was never told that! I was also told that I only owed $50 from when I signed up but was charged $70 which didn't make any sense to me. So now I am out of money while I wait for the corporate office to figure things out. 

After all this mess I will never return to this facility and possibly any other xsport facility because the staff was unknowledgeable and very unhelpful if they let these mistakes happen. I am very disappointed because I had high hopes for this establishment

Never any weight clips. Ask the staff about it, very unhelpful. I pay way too much money to go around looking for weight clips. Also, the gym is always a filthy mess and weights are never where they belong, or even not to be found. Seems like the staff is always on their phones and never keeping the place in order. I’ve been a member of Xsport since 2004, and if things don’t change I’m leaving.

First of all i have a guest pass and i cant bring anyone into the gym with me past 9. It makes absolutely no sense. Then guests arent allowed to go anywhere other than the main workout areas. Im paying hundreds a year just to come to a gym that smells terrible, you can never find any of the dumbells or bars or anythimg in general. Overall this gym has been the worst gym ive ever been too. Even xsport even makes planet fitness look like a 5 out of 5 star gym.

I absolutely love this location. I've literally been to every location in IL and this one is by far my favorite. If you're into group classes... the instructors are literally the best motivators and instructors I've ever seen. Kristy is absolutely amazing. Marie who does pure strength on Wednesdays is sooo good as well. Love and enjoy both of their classes. I don't think the gym smells bad or the equipment doesn't work.

This gym is horrible. I went to sign up for a membership back in June, and I was pressured into personal training. Whoever signed me up told me XSport would continue to pay for my Charter Fitness membership so I wouldn’t have to pay to cancel it. He gave me credit card information and told me it was a company credit card. Almost 2 months later, I get a call from a collections agency, saying I haven’t been paying my Charter Fitness membership. I later found out the Xsport employee gave me a FAKE CREDIT CARD, so I called Xsport corporate. They said they would get back to me and that they were taking this situation seriously, but I never received a call or email back even though I tried to get in contact. My contract ended in August, but they’re still charging me! Xsport is a scam. I just want my money back.
