I recently tried one of their pastrami sandwiches and I am sad to say it was very bland. The sourdough roll was terrible it was way undercooked or defrosted in a microwave. I took it home and pulled out the toppings and used my own bread to make the sandwich bearable. I live part time in south tahoe and would not recommend this place to my guests unless they bring their own rolls. My suggestion is for yellow sub to buy their rolls from port of subs and then make their sandwiches. I support many local businesses but this one is off my list.

Ate here the first time a few days after it opened more than 40 years ago. Best food ever by far. I visit the hill about 4 times a year. First and last stop was Yellow Sub. We would eat 2 meals a day at Yellow Sub have eaten hundreds of their subs every one was better than any I have ever had anywhere else. Sad to say has it gone down hill for several years since new owners took over. Go across the street to Port of Subs. Very sad but after over 40 years I have stopped going there. Now some local info I lived in Tahoe in early 70s. Locals call Visitors to Tahoe flat-landers and they call Tahoe The Hill, if you want to sound like a local ask people if they live on the hill, or what is your favorite casino on the hill.

Only tried Yellow Sub twice; the food was decent, but not so good that we just had to return.

i would have gone but cant see a menu online. fix your website. links to a page all in japanese (according to google translator) and has nothing to do with a restaurant, sandwiches, or otherwise.

I would hope you'd ever read the whole thing. If you want to good sandwich walk across the street. Don't waste your money or your time. I've been going to this yellow subs sandwich shop for over 20 years. And this will be my last time ever going there. I used to drive from San Francisco just to go have sandwiches there. We are five sandwiches foot-long meatball that was cold horrible. A BLT just supposed to be warm everything on it was cold the lettuce is warm. The ice tea was a ice tea it was actually from a can you can buy a food co. And for customer service wow. The lady working behind the counter, seem like she rather be anywhere but there.
