Reviews
I tried to write a detailed review of this place but exceeded the word limit because I tried to give directions to this place. So I will just say this: This is an amazing family owned farm with all the typical charms a family owned business has. They also have the very best prices for the exotic fruits they carry in the tri county area (including homestead). They are off the beaten path and difficult to find (all maps/directions and GPS are completely wrong after a certain point.) But its well worth it once you find the place. SO HERE ARE THE DIRECTIONS TO THE FARM: *please call the farm and speak to them before driving down to confirm your coming, they will give you instructions on what do when you reach the farm. Bring cash and don't expect them to give you good directions because they aren't very good at that. I actually got more lost listening to them. Instead follow my simple directions below for a painless, hassle free drive. A word of caution, DO NOT drive here after a heavy rain or within 1-2 days of heavy rain. Some of these roads have up to 4 foot dips that look shallow when filled with water. If your driving anything smaller then a truck/SUV, there is a chance that your car will get stuck in the mud roads and you will need a tow truck to get it out. Getting stuck in the deepest ones will lead to engine damage. When the weather is dry the dirt roads are completely safe to drive on. 1. When following google/MapQuest/gps the map and directions are 100% accurate up to when you turn onto 61st street N. The only inaccuracy is that the directions say that there are "portions unpaved" before the end of 61st street. The "unpaved" portion is literally less then 50-75 feet of your entire drive before you get to the end of 61st street N. 2. 61st street N will be the last paved road you drive on before getting to the farm. 3. Follow 61st street N (ignoring the other right turns you can make onto Ellis lane and 185th ter) and it will curve around (still paved) to a dead-end road. After you made the curve the road is actually called 188th trail N. This road will show on the maps but the road itself does not have an actual sign. THIS IS WHERE THE MAP/DIRECTIONS STARTS TO BE COMPLETLY WRONG. At this points all directions will tell you to "turn right" onto hays trail. Or it will say that 61st street north "becomes" Hays trail/190st north. In fact even the map shows that there is a "street" called Hay's trail where you can make a right. IGNORE the map/directions and follow my directions below. 4. If you go back to where the curve started you will see a "trail" down the woods that has absolutely no signs. The "trial" is a little bumpy dirt road. It starts off almost like a straight line off the path where 61st street starts to curve into 188th trail N. You cant miss it. Its a road that will only fit one car at a time. Its so tight that if someone else was coming the opposite way, one driver would literally have to reverse back all the way to let the other car pass. This is the correct road that is being referred to as Hay's trail in the maps/directions. 5. Thankfully the drive down this road lasts about .1-.2 miles. So its painless. At the end of Hays trail the road ends and you can make either a right or left. If you make a left you will literally get to a stop sign within 40-65 feet. There is a wide semi paved dirt road here and its called 190th street north!! The stop sign clearly states this as well. PLEASE IGNORE THIS ROAD. DO NOT TURN TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. This will lead you away from the farm! Even though the directions say to turn right onto 190th street north, this is not the correct road. Even the distance from hay's trail to this street on the directions make it seem like its the correct road but its not. 6. Instead make the right after Hay's trail ends. This is another narrow road that looks like a trail with absolutely no signs indicating that its part of 190th street north. Go down this road for about a mile and it will dead end onto a gate. This is the farm! Hope this will save people trouble in the future.
