JJ, owner and stylist, has 16+ years in the industry. She worked in salons during high school and was a makeup artist assist for TCR and Aveda. JJ was accepted for Ambassadors Club at Capri College and in all advance classes for hair coloring, precision and razor cutting, makeup, facials, nails, and waxing. JJ started at corporate salon out of college, then moved to renting her own space and working for Paul Mitchell Systems. Now she is the owner of Zabava Salon and Spa – a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon.

Hello, my name is Kristen and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Medical Assistant. I am married to my wonderful husband, Alex. I have 3 children that keep me on my toes as well.

I graduated from Carlson College of Massage Therapy in 2010 and am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. I graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2004 with my Associates of Applied Science and Degree in Medical Assisting. I am also a member of the Linn County Medical Assisting Chapter and the AAMA. I got Doula certified in 2015 and have had the pleasure in being a part of many births since.

I specialize in Swedish Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue/Neuromuscular body work, Cupping, Sports, Myofascial, Prenatal massage and doula services, Thai Yoga Massage and Reflexology. I want to bring back the basics to your health. Massage is more than just a way to reduce stress, it's a necessity for ones' overall health, well-being and should be integrated into everyday life. This is all done in a stress-free environment. A healthy mind requires a healthy body, they work together hand in hand. In order to feel fit your priorities and life style needs are the place to start with for better change and better healthy living.

Capri graduate in cosmetology arts and sciences. 16yrs experience in the industry. Has been in management and behind the chair working at Cost cutters in the Cedar Rapids,Marion areas. Over the past 16years I've worked with Paul Mitchell systems and also matrix color systems. Now exclusive with Paul mitchell as a chair renter at Zabava salon and Spa.

I specialize in makeup application and wedding party styling and updos. I travel for on site wedding parties also. Love what I do and keeping up with the latest trends!
