Wonderful experience the owner took personal care of me and my date and made me look really good. He treated us like we had been going there for years. He answered 100 questions my date had about the spices used in everything we ordered the coffee and juice drinks are a must have and all the food is cooked to perfection I highly recommend this place to anyone that lives or visits San Francisco.
The gentleman recommended a dish that had chicken, rice, veggies, and salad. The chicken was fall of the bone, the rice was delicious, the veggies were my favorite part! And the sauce to put on top of it all was great! I had a hibiscus drink that was also very tasty. The people were really friendly. Truly enjoyed my meal here
Small Sundanese restaurant with a very warm welcoming atmosphere. The kind lovely gentleman that runs it is kind and friendly makes you feel like you can be yourself as if your in your own house. I took a friend with me and he had the rack of lamb which he said was absolutely delicious he said it was very tender juicy and perfectly cooked. I had the chicken strips and fries and OMG!!!!! What can I say the chicken strips were perfectly hand battered batter was perfectly seasoned and the chicken was so tender, moist, and juicy. As for the fries were do I begin the fries were cooked to perfection not to hard not to soft you know that middle ground with fries thats hard to get to cause you have some that comes in the batch that are to soft or to hard all mixed in same batch not these they are all cooked to perfection and they top it with perfect and the most scrumptious blend of seasonings. This amazingly delicious restaurant is very affordable. They also amazingly let you pay with EBT. If your in the Eddy St area check this restaurant out you will be glad you did!! Happy eating friends!!
One of my new favorite spots. I tired their lamb shank platter with soup and it was EXCELLENT. Really hit the spot. Generous portions of everything and everything cooked just right. Excellent dessert too rice pudding and basbousa. Super-pleasant and welcoming customer service. Pleasant atmosphere. Very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.
Delicious! First time eating Sudanase food and I loved if! Definitely recommend and super cheap for that area!
Very 'mom and pop' type of restaurant. Nothing super fancy but the dishes were packed with flavor. They have the option to add mozzarella or cheddar cheese to your meat. I tried it for the sake of trying it. I love cheese so I enjoyed it, but I wish the cheese was a little more melted. Delicious babagonush and hummus. The best part was the falafel...crunchy, not oily, cumin. Great place!
Amazing food, great prices and the owner is a legend. Must get the lamb shank!
I watched the man make my lunch and That will be the last time I go there again. 1 he did not wear a mask. It’s still covid-19 pandemic. 2 he didn’t wash his hands after touching the mop handle 3. He didn’t wear gloves 4 food is left out on the counter tops and the flies were having a frenzy 5 he scooped cooked refrigerated pasta out from a gallon bucket 6 he reheated the chicken that has been sitting on the counter uncovered for who knows how long. This restaurant food is not made when you order, it’s all made in advanced and then reheated. Knowing how unhygienic this restaurant is, I ended up leaving the food for the homeless people outside.
No lie, you have to try this place out. I'm from Sudan so I'm used to eating Sudanese food, and this is Sudanese food that is comparable to my moms cooking, so it passes my test. Go the restaurant, show them this picture, and just say "I want this," you won't be disappointed. All around mouth watering deliciousness.
He is super sweet and the food is so good … home made and owned business
