Yes, I am a fan. I was hesitant after reading the mixed reviews but took the leap.
I was very happy with my choice. It was a bit of a drive from downtown and in traffic but I was quickly seated upstairs with the graduation crowds. The place smelled of fresh cut wood and added to the homey feel.
I ordered a scotch ale and enjoyed the happy alcohol content.
For starters, I was given some bread that was nothing to write about but my salad was fresh and delicious. I would definitely get the green bean and artichoke salad again.
The main point of coming here was to get the hashbrown crusted walleye. I was very happy with my choice. It was crispy outside and juicy in the middle on a heaping pile of more green beans. Love it.
I wanted a chocolate dessert but was saving room for pie.

Staff was very friendly, but service slow.  Ended up leaving after drinks and going elsewhere to eat when ordering got too complicated for dietary restrictions.  Inside looked like it'd be cozy on a grim day but weather was too nice to sit inside. Regretted choice afterwards, as it felt like we were eating on the motorway.  Some hedges or fencing would go a long way in making the outdoor dining experience more enjoyable as no one enjoys being cat called from the road in the middle of a fine dining experience.  A simple sign that reads outdoor seating or beer garden available would be just as great at advertising and word of mouth and reviews of a nicer experience would keep folks coming in.

Offering a menu that accommodates both traditional pub fair and nicer meal options, 1847 at the Stamm House is a suitable locale both for a relaxed Friday Fish Fry or for a nicer date night. The pretzel is a very generous portion, especially for the price. The burger, steak, and fish have all proven excellent choices in my experience. While they offer the normal selection of Wisconsin beers, their cocktail list features some twists on classic favorites such as their Old Fashioned made with maple syrup.

First time visiting this restaurant.  Absolutely  beautiful inside.  We sat at the bar and boy was the service slow.  Food was good, not great for a Wisconsin Friday fish fry.  Wish the batter was a bit more substantial but had food flavor.  Overall a good night but could be better.

Nice restaurant. It has a vintage feel. Great cocktails and good selection of local beer. I think they need to adjust their steak thermometer. I ordered the steak medium rare but it was clearly rare.
