This is a huge used book store. You could spend hours looking through everything. Movie and game prices aren't the best, especially on new items. They do give decent payouts for used games, compared to something like GameStop. If you're into Funko Pop figures they have a large selection right by the front door.

I dont shop here often due to the lack of organization of their stock and the prices being higher than most places. They do have a decent assortment of games for a variety of consoles and thpusands of videos. CDs are still sort of abundant but just thrown into the displays approximately alphabetical. The $5 and under wall display has as many over 5 as under 5 and often for no apparent reason. I do find a couple of things here when I have the time. Good parking lot, just look both ways when you cross to the store.

Really disappointed in my experience with this place. As a connoisseur of music, longtime lover of video games, and avid book reader I was very excited to find out about 2nd & Charles on Google, and the pictures online made it look like a nicer or modern FYE or Tower City Records style of store. I called before visiting and talked to an employee (Eric I think), and asked what the music selection was like. His answer was that he "doesn't know and hasn't really looked", then said they had multiple racks full of CDs and a large selection of vinyl, both used and new releases. I asked if they had a section for a specific genre and he must have pretended to walk out to the floor because after a brief pause he said "yeah, we have about a five foot section of it" - cool. As soon as I entered the store and looked, there was no such section for the genre like he told me there was and the CD racks were pretty barren, with no new releases unless you count unopened CDs from 2016 scattered about as new releases. The alphabetisation for every category they have - CD, Vinyl, Video Games, dvd/Blu-ray - was an absolute joke. Sometimes they used the artists name, others they used the album title for alphabetising and it got no more specific than just using the first letter - ST was just as likely to be next to SS as it was SA in every section I checked. Also while I was in there no employees greeted me and they seemed to be gathered in groups talking rather than helping customers. I got too frustrated from the front half of the store before getting a chance to explore their book or comic section. Pros: Few specialty stores like it out in the suburbs Some unique or rare items in the game section(though very few, and priced worse than eBay scalpers) Large selection of books Cons: No organization Few, if any, employees on the sales floor High prices Cheaply made, imported bootleg versions of products Most legit and new products can be found at regular retailers Untruthful employees Most pre-owned products are nothing special - no focus on rarity or lower prices. They're just used. While I was really excited at the prospect of a store like this close to home, it looks like the owners just bought an old Borders Book Store storefront and left it as-is, then implemented the half-baked idea of a "thrift store for geeks" without any other thought put into it, haphazardly put used niche products on the floor and hired anyone who could identify the difference between Anime and a record player.

Great selection of vinyl, CDs, you name it! It's like a Barnes and Noble meets resale records, comics, and video games. Great place to get fandom merch!

Terrible customer experience! Employees were too busy talking to each other and were disgruntled I was asking them for help in a store with no other customers besides myself. When I asked one to check if he had in an item in stock he told me the systems lie and they actually don't have what the system says they have available. What a waste of time.... Terrible store.
