The food was absolutely delicious! The owners were so sweet to talk to us. We were looking for "La Caye", and this restaurant is now the new "La Caye" . They moved next door & changed the name. We will definitely come back. Our waitress was also so sweet and genuine. Can't wait to visit again. My new Haitian spot now in Brooklyn! Thank you for giving us an amazing first experience!
Great place to meet friends, friendly and fast service. We ordered Chiktay, Wings happy hour with lemon paper and one more spicy wings, Kale salad - everything was delicious!
Great experience here. We came here after seeing a film at the BAM and we ran into the director and photographer of the film. The service was friendly and food was good. I wished there was more variety in the menu, but what we tried was pretty good. We had the akra , stewed chicken, and black rice with mushrooms. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely go back.
The food was amazing! Very well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and the portions were of good size. We were treated so well by the crew and will definitely be back again. One of the best Haitian restaurants in Brooklyn!
Amazing food and staff was very helpful and professional
Last night I had a delightful experience at 33 Lafayette. After watching Wakanda Forever, my friends and I went to Bamboo Walk for dinner, we didn't stay because it was noisy and not a dining atmosphere. We were hungry and disappointed; we called 33 Lafayette and they were able to accommodate us; we pre-ordered over the phone and when we got there, our table was ready. Everything we ate was delicious! our waiter was very professional and friendly. The owners offered us on the house a Haitian staple dessert: Pain Patate potato bread pudding which was succulent! We finished the night on a positive note thanks to 33 lafayette restaurant.
The food was delicious, drinks were great and the live music was amazing. I highly recommend it!
10/10 people. I stopped in and asked to charge my phone. They were closing, but they let me come in anyway. I ordered a beer and started chatting with the staff, the owner, and a few lingering regulars—all friendly, kind, incredible people. Within minutes I felt like family. That is such a rarity these days, and I am so grateful to have experienced it. If I lived in the area I would be at 33 every week!
The Legume is so delicious, it will have me back several times just for that. The staff was very nice. The restaurant was small.Food: 5/5
Staff is incredible. Best chicken wings I’ve ever had. Loved the kale salad. Rice and lentils were good. Did not like the chopped fish app. Turkey was alright. Moscow mule with added request of spicy was amazing.
