Lance and his guys are some of the nicest, most knowledgeable mechanics you will ever know. They don't over sell you on things you don't need, they play it straight and fix it right, every time! What an awesome 2nd generation family owned local business. Don't let their size fool you - they have the latest diagnostic technology and the know how on how to use it to make sure your vehicle is diagnosed, serviced and returned to you fast, and fixed RIGHT!

You don't find shops like this anymore. They don't fix what doesn't need to be fixed. Honest, dependable, and super informative. I will bring all my vehicles to this shop and recommend my friends do the same. Thanks for the great service!

I needed a starter put in my car. A-1 mechanics were very nice and they fixed my car quickly at a fair price. Great experience! I would highly recommend them.

Lance and the guys at A1 are honest, fair and do good work. They don't upsell you, they are willing to run you line by line through the invoice to explain what cost what and why, and they will find the most cost effective way to keep you on the road. I first visited A1 before I moved to Milwaukee. They were the only local shop to answer my call on a holiday weekend when my car broke down. They took it in on short notice over the holiday weekend and worked on it first thing on Monday. They completed the work and charged 1/3 what I was quoted for the same repair at a dealership. That car is still on the road and the repair is holding up 7 years later. If you drive past A1 you'll see their entire lot is full of cars. They're popular for a reason: they're good. I trust them, and that's the highest praise I can give.

First off, I love that you can schedule an appt online. My AC died on Saturday, and of course no one was open. I was able to schedule an appointment for first thing Monday morning thru their website. Lance, the owner, was thorough and was able to check my AC within a couple hours of me dropping it off. He explained to me in layman's terms what was wrong, and what he needed to do to fix it. Unfortunately my compressor was shot, but he apologized he couldn't fix it same day! I was thinking a week or more  - he had it done the next afternoon. His entire staff was friendly and the price was super reasonable. I had another car with a similar problem a few years ago and paid double what Lance quoted me. We will definitely be bringing our cars here from now on, though I hope to not see them too soon!!
