We had a good experience tonight, the food was tasty and everyone was friendly. I ordered the pasta which was flavorful and spicy, my guy ordered the Cuban which he enjoyed. We also enjoyed the Mama Mia and the Hemingway from the drink menu.
I made a visit to this location the Friday before Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was pleasing and comfortable. The staff was friendly and courteous. The drinks were fresh and not watered down. The mushroom appetizer I ordered was great. My house salad was fine. My porkchop entree was seasoned to my liking and was tender. Lastly, my cheesecake dessert was fantastic, sweet, and delicious. I visit Abby Singer's for special occasions. I'm never disappointed.
Situated next to a theater with a a balcony option the food is good and prices are what you might expect from a city bistro. Parking can be difficult but the food, service and seating option are worth it,
Best place in Shreveport. The food is amazing! We had the seafood and chicken & sausage gumbo as appetizers and that was the BEST gumbo you can get in North Louisiana. The steak and fish tacos were so tasty. The staff is so polite and we loved our drinks. Definitely will be back!
We were excited to try Abby Singer's Bistro, but our time there was just OK. We went on a Friday evening during happy hour. It was quiet in there - table conversations at a whisper. The music was playing low. As the sun set, we noticed the lights were low too. So the vibe in the place was weirdly mellow. The restaurant is not that big, so even if full, you don't expect drinks or food to take that long. Drinks took a while to come to the table during happy hour, and after ordering eggplant parmesan, like 15 min later the server came back to say they were out of eggplant. We ended up ordering veggie burgers and a Philly cheese steak. The food tasted good. We like that there are vegetarian options. The servers were all very nice. We just couldn't tell what mood they were going for inside the restaurant. As people started coming in a bit later the conversations became just a bit more "lively", but it was still very quiet even when we left. There is a balcony but it was full when we arrived so we sat inside. The restaurant is above a movie theater. Enter at the theater and walk back to the elevator and head up to level 2 to find the restaurant. They take reservations if you call ahead.
Very good ! Fried shrimp and fried tomato appetizer was delicious!!! Filet mignon with lump crab meat and sauce on top was delicious we will be back!!!!!
Chicken and waffles is always ... the burger of the month was different but ok.
I went there to meet with my friends. I am not crazy about this place: it is too small, not cozy, and a bit of $$ for the menu. Service was OK to moderate I was waiting almost 30 minutes for my cocktail. Big discrepancy for happy hours listed on the website and inside the bistro. Many people in town like it, I am OK with this place. Features: No distances, nobody wear mask but me.
We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Staff was very friendly!! The "Make my Day" old fashioned was amazing!!! Definitely on our list to go again next time we're in town!!!
to start off, we were sat in the waiting area with a makeshift table and chairs. this area was seated right next to the mens restroom and the dish washing area. All we could hear the whole time was dishes clacking. Our food took an hour and 15 minutes to get to us and the only reason this is being given a two star is because the food was somewhat decent. And to top it all off, WE HAD A RESERVATION WITH A TABLE RESERVED!!!!
