I read the post by Jen and I felt compelled to address it before anyone follows it as gospel. I have a strong medical background but do not work for the practice and I am not a patient although after her post that may change. It's sad that women today are lacking in education about their bodies. First all recommendations or guidelines are just that not a hardcore practice. 2) Women have been having annual paps for years without producing extreme outcomes Better a little scaring which doesn't hurt than developing cervical cancer. 3) In the time allotted between paps you could develop cervical cancer and the treatment would be very different that if had been treated after just an abnormal pap. I'm older and I have been very vocal about these guidelines, cancer does not discriminate against age, status or self care. We are all at risk. The increase in STI's, social media and the ever present peer pressure have increased the risk. I often say if the men that made up these guidelines had their private parts involved, paps would be offered more frequently. Lastly educate yourself, ask questions, get second opinions and keep in mind that a doctor who is willing to individualize care based on your personal needs is rare and should be appreciated. I will be making my appointment with this practice.

I've had three healthy babies with the doctor's at About Women! I've had THE best care through each pregnancy. If I were to have another it would be with this practice. They are caring, compassionate, professional, and overall wonderful to their patients. From the receptionist, to the nurses, to all of the doctor's they provide top notch care! I am proud to be a patient here.

I was super scared to return for my (way past due) annual exam. I'm so thankful for all the staff who made my experience super simple. From the check in process, to the nurse and most importantly Dr. Beauzile. She was calm, informative and didn't make me feel ridiculous for freaking out during my visit.

My experience at the Woodbridge location has been significantly beyond sub-par. Words fall short to describe my anger and frustration with About Women. The ineptitude of the employees who can not even acknowledge a patient coming into the office asking if they have an appointment or to answer any questions. My frustration also extends to the individuals handling critical paperwork that impacts the NECESSITY of a patient leaves me dumbfounded. I find it astonishing that it has taken more than THREE WEEKS to fill out my FMLA paperwork and I am still waiting for the documents to be completed ACCURATELY. I have contacted the individual multiple times via phone and email with absolutely NO RESPONSE. When I finally go in the office, the documents have not even been REVIEWED. When the individual does "complete" them, the documents are INCOMPLETE and INACCURATE. About Women had no knowledge what so ever about my medical status or condition. There was no record of me being admitted to Sentara hospital. There was no record when I was transfered to INOVA Women's hospital by About Women. There was no record of me being READMITTED to Sentara hospital due to factors after delivering my premature child; my primary doctor knew I was admitted. My primary doctor came to see me at the hospital. I hardly ever need to go in to see my primary doctor but About Women, who I have been seeing MONTHLY, does not have the capability to know when one of its patients is in the hospital due to pregnancy factors which is the area in which they SPECIALIZE. How is it possible that one medical organization can not request the medical records from another medical organization on a MUTUAL patient. Apparently this is the one crucial task that About Women is unable to do according to it's employees. To put the cherry on top of my experience with About Women, I have been charged $60 to fill out my FMLA paperwork when it has not been done correctly and accurately. The doctors have been good, but the rest of their staff leaves a lot to be desired. Update (9/6/17) : I called twice today - no answer from the "OB- Coordinator". I am still waiting for my paperwork. This is completely unprofessional, and hard to believe. I will be requesting my $60.00 back and never returning to About Women.

I waffled between 2 stars and 3 stars. Everyone here is SO nice. The staff is patient and laid back, which I like. I've had tons of bad experiences with OB/GYNs in my life, so I was thrilled to find ones I got along with. I really like the staff, so it pains me to give this practice such a low rating. This place is so, so disorganized. They are almost always running behind, even on slow days. Nobody seems to know what their policies & procedures are, since I've been told different things by different people. They don't call you back when they are supposed to, if at all. So if you decide to go here, know that you will probably have to harass the hell out of them to get anything done. I hope that they bring in someone with business experience that can get the place running more smoothly, or that the good doctors move on to better places, because they sure as hell deserve better. Also, they do annual pap smears here (at least they did for me), which goes against the current guidelines of every 3 years. They also do follow up testing/colposcopy/biopsy every 6 months for a positive result, and from my understanding this also goes against current recommendations, according to a family member of mine who is a PA. I mention this because repeated biopsies can lead to scar tissue which can cause problems such as infertility. Something to keep in mind.
