I've lived in Boston for 3 years before I moved away, and now I'm finally coming back to this city for work. Hotels are by far some of the most expensive I've seen in North America (on-par with SF and NYC prices) so finding a relatively affordable place can be difficult at times. The AC Hotel Boston north is located not too far from downtown Boston across the river from Assembly square. It's not too far from the Wellington T station (thought I personally never used it) so public transportation should be fairly accessible. The hotel is nice and modern, though not very tall for those who like high views. The lobby is very comfortable with a lounge type vibe, and they have a pretty spiffy mini-mart. The $10 credit for platinum members was a nice touch and greatly appreciated as well as the very helpful and friendly front desk staff. The rooms itself were decent and comfortable, modern again like the overall hotel feel. Bottled water in the room, decent coffee, and great bath amenities made the stay nice. Did have significant issues with reception inside the building though, so beware if you're trying to make phone calls.

All the amenities you need. Rooms are clean and super modern. The overall look is just fantastic. Breakfast is AYCE for $16. Worth it?Not exactly. But bar is great.

The room was overall very modern and had all the necessary accommodations for a great nights stay. For breakfast there was a decent selection of food at the buffet and the service staff were nice, although you did have to pay for it. Overall I thought it was a great hotel by Marriott and would stay there again.

Great hotel, modern and swanky 5 minutes walk from the T. Good workout room with cardio, free weights, bounce Balls and a flexible weight machine. Breakfast in the lobby is very European styled and the evening restaurant serves food til midnight. The meeting rooms on the main floor seat 6 or so people each. Indoor pool is good for families and playing but a little small for full length laps. Rooms are very modern and well appointed.
