Absolutely astounding. Hands down the best meal I've had in a long time. Every dish we ordered and every cocktail was perfectly made. A stunning and perfect combination of tastes and texture in every bite and sip. The chef is simply superb, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is wonderful. One of my absolute favorite places in the whole city. GO. HERE.
Hearing of Acorn so many times from local friends, and finally got a time to try. It was a little bit disappointed with both the dishes and the wine. We ordered BEETS as appetizer, branzino, and rib eye as the entree. However, the beets came up with fly, but it tastes good. Then neither of the entree has a balanced flavor, they are very salty, and doesn’t reach my expectations. I think for fine dining restaurant like this should provide good food with appropriate flavoring. Besides, we also ordered a class of Mellbec, the sell price is $56 a bottle, we are expecting high-quality of wine, but it tasted very watery, so we went online and check the price which is actually $10.99. And they are selling it $14 per glass. That’s so unreasonable. Just my personal opinion, do not order wine in this restaurant with such high price.
My first time here, but will definitely visit again. I had pasta and I really enjoyed the unique taste of it, very flavorful. I should say they don't have many options for their entrées, however they update their menu frequently. The drink menu was very sophisticated and diverse. You won't be disappointed. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. Overall a good experience...
Wonderful Mother's Day Brunch... Best beignets I've had in a long while and absolutely delicious quiche.. classy and relaxed at the same time. One of my faves in the neighborhoodDine in: Yes
Wonderful restaurant!! Amazing service and food! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh! We got the salmon, ribeye, linguine and pork chop. Definitely go if you are in town!!
Make a reservation as this restaurant seems quite popular. I went for brunch and found the food to be disappointing. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the ultimate blt. The fried chicken sandwich was lukewarm and the fries were flavorless. The only thing that was ultimate about the blt was the size of the bread compared to the other ingredients.
We went over their for brunch. We were so lucky that they had a table for us. The restaurant was packed, with that situation we thought we should wait a lot for our food, but shockingly they brought our food after 15 minutes. The smell, taste, presentation of the foods were excellent. We really enjoyed our time and food there. Highly recommended. I got quiche which is the best I’ve ever had. Looking forward to going again
Today was my first time to Acorn after living in the area for a while, I’ll definitely be back. Everything was excellent. From the cocktails, to the wait staff, to dessert, everything was fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the salmon entree if you like fish and the carrot cake for dessert. Perfect for a nice night out!
Definitely a nice spot for dinner. A small but focused menu promises perfect dishes. We will definitely keep checking the menu to see if the changing season brings new options.
We went for brunch. Celebrating a birthday. We ordered chilequile, a quiche and some classic eggs + potatoes combo. Everything was delicious. I requested to bring in one of their desserts while reserving and they accommodated the request. The carrot cake was SO good! Real showstopper was the frosting. One of the best ones I had so far. It wasn’t too sweet, just the right amount. Do yourself a favor and order the carrot cake! We were visiting Pittsburgh, we will def visit again once we are back! Highly recommend this place
