Frankie Bunz
"Frankie Bunz is a casual eating spot featuring gourmet hot dogs in many combinations. The customer can choose from a wide array of specialty hot dogs or they can build their own dog. We also have excellent fries that come as is or with chili and cheese as well as poutine. We have homemade egg rolls made from the popular recipe of a long lost local restaurant. Frankie Bunz also offers seasonal items such as soup and chili in the fall and winter. There is a selection of fountain drinks and craft bottled sodas to wash it all down. Our logo and menu are modeled after a mobster theme. the tag line being we make you a dog you can't refuse."

I had the bacon wrapped dog. I forgot the name but it was delicious. My wife had the “Mr. Miyagi Doggie” and she said it was great. Really cool spot. Will definitely be back!!
Solid hotdogs and a great selection. I loved the Don plus the seasoning on the fries is pretty delicious too: a little salty and sweet. Out of curiosity, I got a pork egg roll and it definitely felt a little out of place with the theme of the place. The egg roll was not anything special. Great spot to grab a quick bite before a movie or on a lunch break.
Great Lunch for me and the kids. Dogs and fries are hot and tasty.
I ordered here for the first time through Door Dash. My food was so good! Definitely get the corn dog!Takeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Great place for a unique hot dog! They have all different kinds. My favorite is The Don. I also recently tried Mama's Grilled Cheese. It was good but saturated in a bit too much butter for me, hit the mix of apples, cheese and bacon is so good. They also have fries and other sides. The owners and workers are extremely kind and helpful. I'd definitely recommend!
Although a small space and not alot if seating, very unique establishment with very friendly service, even when a younger employee made a minor mistake on our check. The manager corrected it and informed me. The hot dogs were made well and our order of fries were plentiful with a little zest. We definetly look forward to going back.Food: 4/5
Frankie Bunz is my go to place when I'm craving a hot dog and I love how conveniently located it is on Murray Ave. Highly recommend!! All the options are delicious! My faves are the Don, turkey dog with chilli & cheese, or the Korean corn dog. The staff have always been kind and friendly. And I'm impressed with how clean the shop always looks. Will definitely visit again soon!
I'm a Hotdog JUNKIE!! Stopped there today for some lunch and found Heaven. I recommend you go to Frankie Buns TODAY!!! I normally stick with Brighton but this is my new Mecca. Had 2 Southern dogs, chili, coleslaw and mustard. Mind blowing.
Love the dogs! My husband loves the Godfather and Karate kid themed hot dogs!! Excellent fries. We will be back again soon!
Very casual drop in spot, best for pairs or single drop bys. My family of four scooted 2 tables together to make it work. We ordered: - The Don - The Elliott Ness - 2 plain hotdogs - 1 pork and shrimp egg roll - 2 fries - 2 drinks Our total came to $45, and that was before adding on tip. For comparison, we frequently eat well at Chick-fil-a or Chipotle for $30. That said, the dogs were very good. Loved the pretzel bun. I tried the egg roll because I've heard stories about the famous tea garden egg rolls from years ago, and that these were just like them. Ended up not being my style, but I don't count that against Frankie. Eating was kind of... uncomfortable and messy. The dogs are wrapped in foil, no plate-type holder, so the messier dogs like my Chicago dog were unwieldy. Wobbly tables, etc. I don't think these things would have bothered me so much had I not paid almost $50 in total. We just felt like the value for amount spent just wasn't there. I'll probably give it another honest try. We love the local shops here in Squirrel Hill and want them to succeed!
