had horrible experiences with all Ford Dealers around the area.
Frank in service took total care of me.  Best experience at a dealership in years.  The service department was exceptional.  Will be back.

Salesperson communication was poor and lacked transparency. I am a first time car buyer and had a terrible customer experience at Advantage Ford.

I visited Advantage Ford to test drive the 2018 Mustang (on a Saturday). I liked a particular car that was in the showroom. 

I had been in communication with the salesperson (who identified himself as Dean) throughout the following week, giving him updates on the circumstances surrounding my insurance and when I would be ready to purchase the car. Since I did not have a method of transportation, he offered to either pick me up or send an Lyft/Uber, to discuss financing options at the dealership.

On Friday, I called the salesperson I had been in previous communication with, provided the final update and informed him that I was ready to make the purchase that weekend. 

During the same discussion, I inquired about equipment package options available in their inventory for the car I wanted to purchase. The salesperson was not at the dealership and informed me that he would have someone give me a call to discuss my inquiries.

I never received the call. 

The following morning, I contacted the salesperson again, requesting that he send the Lyft/Uber (as promised) to bring me to the dealership.

I didn't receive a response until nearly 4 hours later, at which time he indicated that he was "checking". When I was finally contacted by someone else from the dealership, they requested to run my credit via telephone as a condition to sending the Lyft/Uber to pick me up. This request was unacceptable. Multiple credit inquiries can tarnish my credit. The salesperson did not previously mention that Advantage Ford would request a credit pre-check in addition to the actual credit inquiry, once I was ready to purchase the car.

During my interactions with the salesperson, 
I felt as though I wasn't taken seriously. Despite being a first time car buyer, I have great credit and was very interested in purchasing the car from Advantage Ford.

Due to the lack of transparency and poor response times, I visited another Ford dealer to purchase the car. This dealer did not have the car in inventory, so they called Advantage Ford to request a trade. Advantage Ford indicated that they were running a credit check for another customer to purchase the car.

I would have appreciated notice that they were going to sell the car to another customer, instead of hearing from the other Ford dealership that it was sold.

At the time of writing this review, I have still not yet received a courtesy notification from Advantage Ford that the car has been sold. 

This ordeal has marred my first car buying experience. Advantage Ford should respect and be more sensitive to all (potential) clientele regardless of age.

After Ford of Montebello treated me so horribly, I decided to try Advantage Ford which is a little closer to my home. I made an appointment with Marco and everything went smoothly. I've had so many problems with my Ford Focus and this dealership didn't waste time and they fixed the actual problem unlike the other dealership. I was a little late picking up my vehicle and Marco called to let us know he was leaving and where to pick up my vehicle. That might sound silly but trust me it's the little details that count. I've had horrible experiences before and I do dread taking my car to get serviced. To top off my wonderful experience with Advantage Ford they washed and wiped/cleaned my car. I didn't even have to ask!!! Thank you Advantage Ford and your staff.
