They denied me help because I'm homeless. Do I need to even say much more then that? The only reason I am in need of mental health is because I'm homeless and depressed, and the denied me of help for that exact reason.

The Doctor in charge of the program thought I was another patient, wrote in HER folder, and accidentally told me I was HIV positive. Just save the money and go to AA. That's basically their program (besides watching some movies, and reading from daily affirmation books). Plus, they bill patients for LUNCH breaks. Yes, LUNCH is included in the bill ( they don't feed you, you bring your own lunch ). Also, be careful sharing your story. They SAY everything is confidential. It's not. An employee backed into a patient's car, then blamed the accident on the patient. She actually told the police that the woman was in treatment for alcohol issues. HIPAA laws do not apply at this treatment center.

Worst hospital ever!! I had my daughter here when i was 18. My husband was out of the country and obviously i was upset, i was told to "get over it" by a nurse. Right after I had my daughter a nurse told my mom she could draw up adoption papers if my mom wanted my daughter. The same nurse failed to change my sheets after i gave birth. My sheets were changed the next morning by a different nurse. The nurse that failed to change my sheets also failed to give me any type of liquid to drink. These people are incompetent, irresponsible and rude. When I recently had an emergency the ambulance driver asked if i had a preference in hospital I told him anywhere but Hinsdale Hospital.
