In my previous career, I worked as a hospital discharge planner. Because of this role I was very familiar with the local options for skilled nursing care. When my father-in-law received a terminal diagnosis I did not consider any facility but Burgess Square. The level of genuine caring for each person as an individual is unsurpassed... the administrators are clearly driven by compassion in addition to quality care. My personal experience exceeded my expectations... thank you to all the excellent caregivers at Burgess.

My grandfather is there now. They only cook one entree' for meals. if you don't like it you get a sandwich. They have not turned the heat on and these older people are freezing! Very inhuman conditions right now. Nurses are nice but that doesn't make up for the poor conditions. (I am updating this review. After complaining to the administrator they took steps to improve my grandfathers stay. While this is great their is much improvement that could be done to the facility as a whole. As long as this is done (updated rooms, more meal choices, individual room temperature control) it will be a nice place.)

My mother was there, they are very understaffed and management has a bad attitude. When my father complained about the care they were giving mom they said we should move her elsewhere. Definitely the wrong attitude for this business and very expensive for what they deliver. My father also wound up there twice and had bad experiences each time as well. They did not give him rehab treatment when he should have had it. He was told they would give him a partial refund due to this and they never delivered on that either. Bad scheduling and communication was to blame again they are not properly staffed. Workers were good however management was not, management needs to put their customers first and they do not. My father has said he does not want to go to Burgess Square anymore and will go elsewhere now that mom has passed. Be warned.

This place is by far the best nursing and rehabilitation center in the area. The staff is friendly and caters to all of there patients. My mom could not be in better hands. Jodie and Joanna in therapy are so great and have the perfect bedside manor. They are very motivating and go the extra mile to make sure my mom is getting the most from her therapy sessions. Her CNA and Nurse Betty G, and Rosemarie are so wonderful and very attentive. It is clear that each employee truly cares about the care they deliver and are very friendly and attentive. It is such an impressive center I can't help but give it 5 stars you will not be disappointed Thank you Mary Sandoval

Our Mom was recently at Burgess for 6 weeks, the staff was wonderful, very caring, the facility was very clean, and the administrative staff was very helpful. The rehab team did an excellent job of helping her to get stronger. She enjoyed the various activities they offered. I would highly recommend Burgess to anyone needing a rehab facility.
