Amazingly creative rolls that are as delicious as they are pretty to look at! Can't wait to come back here! Great food so expect a wait. Trivia games, a cold beer and some edamame kept us company as we waited. Highly recommend!!

I went into Akira Sushi in Aptos last week with high hopes... and was not disappointed. I'm tempted to say this was the best sushi I've ever had (it was the Benito Rolll which put me over the edge) and I've been eating sushi  for about 20 years now. My friend who was with me was of the same attitude. We were both a little skeptical when we walked in, because of the rather harsh rock that was playing a bit too loud. But hey, the place is new they will work out the bugs I'm sure. In spite of the initial cringes brought on by the acoustics, every other aspect of the evening made up for it. Exceptionally tasty fresh food, friendly and quick service . They have some really unique rolls I've never seen anywhere before. I'm positive this place will be a hit. Don't miss out. If you love sushi you will love Akira

Fresh fish, good selection of rolls, good service, reasonably priced.
The only sushi place I've found in the area that my thought after dinner is "I'm definitely coming back" rather than "Meh".
