A very under-appreciated Akron area attraction in my opinion. Obviously much smaller than Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, etc... If you live in the area it's definitely worth the trip. The price is the same as a combo meal, the exhibits are great, and you never have to worry about overcrowding even on the busiest of days. I enjoy it enough that we buy a family pass every year and typically go a dozen times or more. If you have kids it's a good option on days that are full of " I'm bored".

I love this zoo because it's really close. The parking isn't far. They have red pandas! It's never too crowded but it does go by a lot faster since it's small. Still an amazing zoo

Full of animals, they are making better changes every year and for a great price you can enjoy yourself. I enjoyed the set up of the paths, it makes it easy to see every animal. They are part of a program Downtown Akron that will get you a buy one get one admission. This is a pretty awesome thing, but luckily its not very expensive either way. They also have inexpensive season passes so you could come every day. You have to pay for parking so be aware of that. Its $3 I believe. I had an awful time finding my car, there's not much to mark the locations and it all looks too similar. If you have to leave to grab something out of the car you can come back, the ticket is good all day. I think this is a great way to spend the day and will certainly come back for many more visits.

We came here only when I gave birth to a premature baby boy in Akron Hospital and I have few hours to be with my daughter who misses me. It was our first so I was surprised when we saw the place. This is gonna be our first zoo to pick to come again this year. They have more animals than Cleveland Zoo despite being small. My daughter and I enjoy our quick bonding. Good found new place. Highly recommend to families who are looking for a place to spend time with their children.

This zoo is AWESOME! It's small enough that you don't feel like you've walked a marathon but big enough that there's a lot of different animals to see. You're also super close to all of them too!
