If you want to stay away from over crowded theaters, and just enjoy a movie, this is it. Sound system is top notch, and nobody talks during the movie, or uses their phone. Also, where else can you get unlimited popcorn brought to your seat? It's wonderful as well. You can tell it hasn't been sitting since 11 in the morning. Bring the wife, have a beer, and enjoy the movie in a comfortable, quiet setting

Our new favourite place to watch movies. If you haven't taken in a show here with dinner, you need to come. Has more of a feel like a bar when you first walk in. They have beautiful vintage movie posters which line the hallways. The showrooms have comfortable seats with tables in front of you and a very friendly and attentive wait staff. Bravo! Can't wait to come again.

This is a hidden gem in the cinema world and for any movie buff they will appreciate the details like real butter on the unlimited popcorn and the old trailers and commercials they show before every movie. Their strict policy of no cell phones during the movie is a refreshing aspect and no children to adult movies under a certain age regardless is comforting to know I won’t be annoyed during the movie. They also show old movie classics and have movie parties like this Back to the Future party I attended recently which was a blast even serving specialty drinks in movie themed glasses you could bring home. It’s a throwback to the cinemas of yesterday with all the modern comforts of today.

My husband and I went on a Sunday for lunch and a movie and had a really good time! The food was good, we got good portions, our beers were good, the service was good and prompt. Granted, there weren't very many people in the theater, but I don't think that would have mattered since they probably would have had more wait staff if there were more people, as you purchase your tickets in advance online. I didn't think the wait staff was distracting. They didn't talk and ducked any time they walked by, and since the tables are raised they really never got in the way. I also LOVE the rules and LOVE they that strictly enforce them. I have had to walk out of movies and request refunds on tickets because of disruptive people in the theater before, but at the Alamo it's the disruptive people that get the boot. I will be back! I may not go to any other theater if I have any say so. 😉

Love this theater! They got off to a pretty rocky start. But they have made some massive improvements in the level of service and in the overall fun factor with film clubs and loyalty programs. They offer discounted classic movie nights and other really fun and interesting things. When I originally wrote my review for this place it was not good. I am replacing that review with this one. We love this theater and we go here often.
