Alberto's is a franchised chain of great soon Mexican food. Their biggest claim to fame is the dozens of imitators. In Anaheim, their are 2 Alberto's restaurants, however this one, the one on State college, is the better of the two - and it's not even close.

This place has great meat. It's flavorful, cooked great and usually abundant. Alberto's is the only place that can rival McDonald's Coke: Cool and refreshing.

This is one of the original locations, and it definitely can afford a facelift. The booths are relatively small and the grout is in need of a good scrubbing. Looking past the aesthetics, the food is delicious and as greasy spoon as it gets. My favorite is their bean and cheese burrito without guacamole. The beans are flavorful and they pack in cheese, and they're generous with the added guacamole. I also like their nachos with carnitas. The meat is fall apart tender and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the nachos with sour cream on the side, and when I pointed out their error if adding it, they quickly made a new order and apologized. I would gladly dine here again.

The food is at best average..The lady taking your order is not happy with her job and shows it.

O.k. for a quick bite. Basically fast food mex. Slightly better than Del Taco.
