We stayed at the Alden Suites resort the last week of July for 7 days and had a fantastic time! The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything needed. Buddy at the front desk was outstanding and made the stay very personable. Every recommendation he made was spot on and made finding restaurants and fishing trips well worth it. A few times I went to the front desk to ask about towels and coffee and he stated just call us we will bring it up to you. When we called they delivered immediately and were very pleasant as well. The cabanas were well worth the money and again they were always pleasant and helpful. He checked on us often and provided all the info we needed. This resort is outstanding and I would say the customer service deserves a 10. Thank you for all of your service and for making my vacation outstanding!

Had a great vacation here.....loved being right on the beach and looking out the sliding glass doors to the ocean. Staff was helpful and friendly. There was a cabana beach bar a few feet from our room if you are into that kind of thing....at least 2 pools and a hot tub on site. Beds were very comfy and we slept well! Fabulous restaurants within walking distance....

We had a great time! It is a family hotel for sure. Easy access to the beach and restaurants are close by. You don't even have to use your car, if you don't want to. Room was clean and any time I called for extra towels or clean up someone was sent right of way. They welcome any guest to come up and enjoy the private beach with free parking. I'd say for a weekend getaway from across the bridge, it was wonderful stay and we will be returning!

I should start by saying that I'm not one to normally leave a public negative review without first allowing the business to make things right. As a fellow business owner, I understand that things happen. However, after being promised that the hotel would be "contacting us with a resolution", it has now been nearly a month since our stay and it is clear that they did not intend to make things right. My husband and I stayed there for my birthday weekend July 7th. We paid a premium for our gulf front room which did have a nice view, balcony and kitchenette. However, late that evening the AC completely stopped working in our room and we realized by around midnight that it was getting very hot. Between that and the incredibly uncomfortable beds, we barely slept. We called the hotel first thing that next morning and they had a tech come out. The AC unit ended up not being a simple fix and we had someone working in our room for 6+ hours that day. So not only did we have a full Friday night without AC, but half of Saturday with limited use of our room as they were working on it. When we went to check out, my husband brought this up very nicely to the management and asked if the hotel would consider any compensation or consideration given the issues. He was told rather rudely that we should have called maintenance sooner as they have "24 hour service" - which was pretty ridiculous for them to not only place the blame on us, but considering it took over 6 hrs to fix, that means they suggested that we should have had maintenance in our room at midnight all night until 6 am?? My husband was finally told that a "manager would be calling him with a resolution" as we'd prepaid $250+/night already for the room. It has now been nearly a month and no one has contacted us, apart from a survey that was sent out to which we also replied, giving them one more chance to respond with some sort of resolution (or really, anything). I don't like publicly complaining as a first step and I feel like we have made multiple attempts to convey our disappointment, very nicely, to the Alden. We have been met with them blaming US for the fact that we had no AC in our room for nearly half our stay and then blatantly lying to us to try and not deal with it. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was for the view/location.

I'm concerned for anyone who stays here with family members who suffer from allergies and/or asthma. Our suite smelled strongly of mold. I am extremely sensitive and have had bronchitis for a week since we've left. Please don't take immunocompromised family to this resort. It needs a serious overhaul. We also have had our credit card charged, three times so far. They have corrected it each time I've called. They blame it on no training for their new computers. You are constantly asked to get out or move to the side if you are in the water, due to boats. The aquatic rental employee is less than friendly and keeps no change for cash paying customers. He owed me money, two days in a row. You get what you pay for...
