Dr. James Valcarcel did some amazing work with me! I went into his office with a pain level of 8. When I left, that first day, he was able to reduce my pain to a 6, in only a hour. Over the next 3 visits with him my pain level continued to reduce into no pain, as long as I did my "homework"! It is so nice to talk with a doctor that will explain what is happening, what he wants to do (as demonstrating), and what to expect over time. He was able to answer all my questions in the office and out side the office on his own time! I highly recommend Dr. James if your looking for a doctor that is down to earth, easy to talk to, and really lessens to your symptoms. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Dr V knows his stuff. Period. Most of all he understands how everything fits together and communicates that clearly. The body is complex, and it's not always a simple fix. He finds the root of what's causing your problems and doesn't simply treat your symptoms. He understands and exemplifies excellence in functional medicine. He helped me get back on track after going through an incredibly stressful 3 years of life. Ran the appropriate tests, figured out what was going on, and prescribed a calculated course of treatment. If you are in pain, fatigued, depressed, lack energy, motivation, or have any health issue see him. Top notch doc. He understands his patients. If he can help you he will, and if he can't he will tell you. Can't say enough good things.

I had neck pain for about four years and it was getting progressively worse by the time I came to Dr. V's office. I had some days when I couldn't physically get out of bed. I was in constant pain every day. Over the years I had tried three different chiropractors on weekly and biweekly scheduled visits. I was also going to massage on nearly the same schedule. I was spending thousands of dollars and not seeing progress. I had gone from being an active 30-something woman to being depressed and feeling sorry for myself. I stopped exercising and became quite miserable. My massage therapist told me about Dr. V and I finally went to see him almost a year after she first mentioned him because I was trying another treatment plan with a different chiropractor. I started seeing Dr. V in February 2017. It is now June 2017 and I am almost completely back to my normal self and am mostly pain free. He helped me stabilize by April for an 80-mile bicycle vacation/trip across the Netherlands (which was awesome!). I now attend yoga two times a week, run the Ormond Beach bridge, lift weights, and I'm back to kayaking. I couldn't be happier! Dr. V "prescribed" a physical therapy technique and explained the importance of doing my "homework." The day after my first visit, he called me to ask if I had done the prescribed neck exercises and when I said I hadn't, he explained that I wouldn't be making any progress and would be throwing away my money on visits to his office if I didn't do my share of the work. From then on, I stuck to my homework and began to work on my posture. Frequent visits to his office for chiropractic adjustments and laser therapy became more and more infrequent. Now he has recommended a visit once every two months or as needed. It's unbelievable how much time he spends with his patients-- because really, this should be the standard of care for all practitioners. Dr. V doesn't rush you out of the office or bog you down with words you don't understand. He actually listens and does care about improving your health. I can tell that it correlates directly with his own personal success.

Dr. V's proactive approach is just what I was looking for in a physician. I could sense that he wanted to heal my chronic issue as much as I wanted to be healed. He understands an athlete's eagerness to resume training and works towards making that goal possible. His willingness to collaborate with other professionals regarding my case was greatly appreciated. Since Dr. V was highly recommended to me by two respectable sources and he was able to help resculpt my damaged muscles, I confidently recommended Dr. V to my godson, an elite volleyball player, who needed a physician while visiting me. Dr. V made him a priority, provided him with excellent care, and gave him a doctor's name he should see when he returns home. I would not hesitate to contact Dr. V in the future, and I only wish I had contacted him sooner.

Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Valcarcel! Such a tremendous help with not only my neck pain from a car accident but just overall he's extremely knowledgeable with total body health and wellness! Do yourself a favor and don't consider anyone else for your chiropractic needs! Highly recommend!
