Excellent care and staff.  Although my precious Buddy had to be put to sleep, the staff were extremely sensitive and caring and really helped my wife and I through this difficult process.  Dr Kristin Bell is amazing and I will always bring my business back to Alta Sierra and it's kind and considerate staff.

As far as veterinary care Alta Sierra has been top notch, we have a 14+ year old cat that has thyroid problems and recently started having seizures. He was started on medication and has been seizure free for over three weeks now.  We also inherited a small kitten that our granddaughter found that had eye problems and pneumonia, he is on the way to a healthy recovery. Eyes may always be and issue with him. 
Staff is very caring and helpful and more gentle to pets than other clinics we have been to. 
Interested in finding out about the veteran discount as we have spent a lot of $$ there.

On October 20, 2016 I called to get my dog into see a doctor as he wasn't feeling and acting well, I explained what was going on with him. I was told the soonest he could be seen was Monday, I questioned that as he is sick, another person came on and then said they would see him that day with an additional charge of $75.00 because they only had one doctor on staff and the doctor was leaving at 2:00.  I have never had this charge before and wondered why at this time, when we go to doctors offices for us there isn't an additional charge! I was able to take him to Blue Ridge Animal Hospital in Pinetop and wasn't charged an additional charge. They need to rethink how they treat their customers.

When our cockatiel broke his leg late one night we thought he was a goner. We called after hours and got in right away. They took such good care of our boy, we're forever grateful!
