Excellent customer service! We had a body shop claim to fully repair my vehicle after an accident. I had problems for months afterwards and took it to Alternative Auto Care for a second opinion. Working with my insurance company, they both agreed repairs were not done correctly. We were at a point where it needed to go on a frame machine to check for more damage. Because they do not have a frame machine at Alternative, we needed to find another body shop. At that point Dale could have said, "Good luck and have a nice day." However, he spent a good week trying to help my husband and I with all the insurance back and forth and referring us to a new body shop. He didn't make a dime on all that extra time he spent, but was still so helpful. Dale your staff and shop are a class act. Thank you. Michele Garner

I have been taking my 2007 Honda Pilot to Alternative Auto Care for the last 9 years. I can't say enough good things about both the Pilot and Dale's shop. I trust his advice and recommendations. Dale will let me know what needs to be done sooner and what needs to be considered in the future. I recently discovered that Dale has been updating the service history in my owner's manual from the beginning. He is a class act and runs an honest, fair and dependable business. You might find a less expensive shop, but you get what you pay for. Thank you for all the years of worry free maintenance. I highly recommend Alternative Auto Care.

My car went in with clean oil and no oil leaks it came back with dark black oil that burns my skin and wreaks of some kind of solivent. Also it went in with bright neon green transparent radiator fluid! I was very proud of my recent radiator flush it came out really nice! My car came back with brown fluid and over filled and its thick.... Dale lied to me and told me that my radiator support frame was bent from an accident that my radiator was bent and shoved in to my condenser! I got home and pulled the fenders off the bumper off and headlights out went over everything the car has never been in a wreck ever! No sign of new paint no bent anything at all! Also my radiator turns out is brand new! Also my radiator is a few inches from my condenser just like it is supposed to be and my condensor is only a few years old that much is obvious! I am friends with the auto parts broker that sold dale something like 1200 condensors and radiators Dale is so stupid that he baught them all thinking that they would fit in all hondas! Nope it only fits in a honda ex 96 to 00 very specific parts. Goes to show this guy isn't to bright but smart enough to be a crook! Not smart enough for me though. Also Dale told me my rack and pinion needed to be replaced whicn when i dropped my car off i told him that all ready and the supension and exhuast work...and about a ground wire and a e break cable... Anyways he told me the rack and pinion is 1200! Then he proceeded to say he wanted 1600 For the labor to put it in. First off a rack and pinion in a shop like that takes 1 1/2 hours to replace and its very very easy with a lift and air tools. About a 101$ job and that's if they are paid the max pay rate by colorado law! Also the rack and pinion is only 178$ with a mechanics discount a original oem remaned best money can buy!!! In total this job cost 279$ now Dale wanted 900$ to fix my exhuast all it needed was two donut gaskets that go inline in the pipes! These gaskets i pickedup at orielys next door same place Dale gets his btw i had a friend that worked there. They were 5.99 a piece! The job is veryeasy and straight forward unscrew two bolts wack the old donut out with a flat head and hammer then put the new donut in put two bolts back on... This with airtools on a list is roughly a 10 minute job and thats if you are a slacker so 6.70$ in labor at max legal pay rate! Also he wanted 2500 for putting in new suspension. I can do supension pretty quick if i rent a hydrolicspring compressor about 20 minutes a strut unless one gives me trouble getting it out. Really really really fancy super stiff super hard core racing supension koni yellow struts and H&R sports coils is 520$ total. Koni is better then Bilisters which is what most race car drivers use but i prefer Koni its about 4 to 5 times better any "real" professional knows this. It's a 1 hour 20 minute job so like 80$ in labour. Also Dale told me the whole electrical system of my car is fried! I tore it to pieces took the panneling off fenders offbumpers off everything! And ran threw it I found one problem one! The G603 ground was disconnected when a noob put new speakers in the back and forgot to reconect it! becuase he installed the wire wrong in the wrong order so to work around that he removed the G603 ground. very common mistake the wiring problem can be one of two things, I told dale that its one of those two things things and said i want that ground fixed which he didn't even fix or look at obviously. It gets much worse but google wont let me post the other 75%. Id say if you want good work there have Dales daughter do it! She is against all the scams Dale and his son pull and she is honest and is faster and does better work! However i think she is still fired for refusing to scam everyone like Dale orders her too she has told me this with her own mouth!

Terrible service, price and people. They are far from honest! Go to someone who's an actual mechanic. These are wanna bes.

This is a long-overdue review. I have had amazing service at Alternative Auto Care (owner: Dale Baca, who was/is a Honda tech) over many years (over 10), with a number of Honda Accords. Things I really appreciate about them: The work is done by the suggested day. The free loaner cars (you just have to bring them back with the same amount of gas the car had when you picked it up) are very cool. Dale is great when a car is being dropped off at: 1) confirming what will be done, 2) asking if there are any other issues that I haven't mentioned, and 3) explaining when I pick up my car what was done and mentioning any significant items observed. They're also good at calling while doing a service to mention any additional issues that might need to be addressed while they were doing the expected work. I really appreciate the conversations we've had where Dale would explain the pros and cons of getting an additional repair done now, or if it can wait (usually when I'm having something expensive done, and something else they notice also needs to be done but not immediately). I've had one experience that to me says a lot about how Dale does business. On one repair I brought my car in because it had started occasionally hesitating during acceleration. Dale explained there could be a number of causes of that. I picked the car up a few days later (with the usual explanation of what was done to it) and at first it seemed fine. Then the same kind of hesitation occurred. I took my car back to the shop to have it looked at again. After a fairly short period of time, I got a call saying it was ready to be picked up. When I got to the shop, Dale explained the first time they'd worked through the Honda diagnostic manual for the possible causes of hesitation, and on the second to last possible cause it seemed to be fixed (worked fine on a test drive); that was an expensive repair involving some parts being replaced (related to valves as i recall). When I brought the car back, they did the last possible fix, and that corrected the problem. They then did something I've never heard of a car repair shop doing: they took our the new parts that hadn't fixed the problem, put back in my previous parts, and because the final fix was cheaper refunded the difference. That's integrity.. I want this to be the only place I'll get my Honda worked on.
