Story

Serving contemporary cuisine with Caribbean and Southern influences, Alvin & Friends features live music on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday brunch, plus late night jazz in Roscoe's Room. Atmosphere was beautiful. There were live singers and great old music hits with Armstrong, Sinatra, Fitzgerald and more. Staff was VERY friendly, we had a large party and they were extremely accommodating. The owner did come out and say hi as well as apologize for the time it took for the food to come out. I had the fried chicken with the greens and mac and cheese. The greens were AMAZING, if you like a little kick, try these. My friends enjoyed the chicken and waffles and said the pancakes were also amazing. The mac and cheese was also very good! Will definitely be returning.

I love this place. The owner is very friendly. They have a ladies night on Thursdays. Great prices all night. The food is also great. Order the shrimp tostones, collard greens, and wings!

The food was pretty good. I had the buttermilk fry chicken with sweet potato fries & mac and cheese which was great. Also had rum punch and jerk chicken wings. Overall my experience was great.

Disappointing. The place has atmosphere and service is good, but the VALUE IS LOW. 15$ for mini-crab cakes. There were 3 -- each the size of a quarter. No garnish. Nothing. Felt cheated. The main was worse. Ordered shrimp and grits. 25$. Only 3 grilled shrimp on the plate. THREE!!! My dinner companion who had the Cajun seafood pasta (22$) had more shrimp than the shrimp and grits. I'm sorry but the atmosphere and otherwise good cooking does not make up for value.

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Westchester. Awesome food, that for me at least isn't the type of flavors I'm tired of...Southern/Soul food mixed with Jamaican/West Indian. So tasty. The owner Alvin is a stud, typically goes to each table every night to see how everything is. Not only is he the owner, but he's done all the beautiful art work on all the walls. Always has good, live music on the weekend evenings too. Top notch dining experience every time.
