Story

A Place 2 Go is the go to place for contemporary Caribbean and American dining in the tri-state area conveniently located in New Rochelle’s up and coming downtown business district.

A Place 2 Go’s atmosphere caters to young professionals, businesses and families in the Tri State area. It’s diverse, modern interior allows for intimate dinners, large group gatherings, or serves as the go to for business meetings and luncheons. The menu is inspired by traditional Caribbean Island cuisines along with Southern American soul.

Try our chicken and waffles or our ever popular jerk chicken. We also offer different daily chef specialties. Try something new that’s sure to entice your palate.

Visit us for happy hour which boasts half-price cocktails and beer at the bar.. We suggest our rum punch. Have an appetizer with your cocktail. We offer mouth-watering chicken jerk spring rolls and our coconut shrimp is a must-have.

Fifth time going to A Place to Go, while we had to wait very long for our meals due to a ticket disappearance, my simple meal of run down vegetables was a home run. It was delicious! It got me to write a review...lol. I will definitely be back for this meal, best thing I've had at this restaurant. Fruit punch,  rice&peas was good too.

Food was good. Recommend the crab cakes. Pretty pricey for the small portions. Mango Mojito was great. Jerk chicken on point. Music was good. Overall atmosphere was nice.

I heard a lot of good things about this place and I was really looking forward to going there. I went with a few of my friends from high school that I haven't seen for a while. Most of us were coming from far to get there. All of us got there early enough except for one who was coming from Connecticut. 

We all ordered and ate. The food was great. However, things took a turn for the worse. After the last person got there and ordered, a few minutes later a server came and asked us to move from the table to the bar because they had people waiting to be seated and that the persons who just ordered could eat at the bar as well. When we got the the bar, there were no seats and we were just standing there being bumped into by everyone needing to get by.

We were just standing there in the way and no one came back to check on us; after a while we decided to leave. So we were pretty much kicked out of the restaurant after spending over $500! We felt so embarrassed, because it was like we came to chill and were taking up space without spending any money. 

I know someone was late and I understand that people were waiting to be seated, but the situation could have been handled a lot better. That is certainly no way to treat customers who just spent over $500 in your establishment; being kicked out after taking our money! It's highly unlikely that I will be going back to this place after this incident. 

I gave one star for the food only. Parking can also be a challenge.

I've been here a few times and I thought my meals were pretty good. I enjoyed the curry shrimp and rice. I also got the snapper which was good but not hot. The drinks are ok. The place is beautiful...I'd say good for a cute dinner date night or birthday dinner. It can be tough to find parking though.

This place is the boom. If you want good quality Jamaican food and nice strong drinks A Place to go is your best bet. I had the jerk chicken with bake mac n cheese it was too delicious. Right amount of spice  and they jerk it in the back like wow. My boyfriend had the fried chicken with rice and peas it was also delicious. Everything we ordered could stand alone and taste delicious but out together flavour explosion in the best way. The service was also impeccable.
