Really cool museum that is located in the historic 18th and Vine district. Fun to see how KC impacted the only truly American genre of music. It would be 5 stars but it's too small to say that. Takes only around 90 minutes to see the whole thing but you should see the Negro League Baseball Museum located just across the lobby. Together they will give you the whole afternoon.

Fun place. The museum was nice and enough to keep you busy for a few hours. Get the combo entry into the Negro League Baseball Museum as well. Well worth it.

Really nicely laid out space detailing the local history of the area. Fantastic, knowledgeable staff.

The museum was a little bit shallow on the depth in which they've could have taken the whole genre of jazz in fact some of the local musicians from Kansas City barely had a paragraph when they should have had almost a whole section to themselves overall the museum is about the size of a small house and not all that impressive.

Really interesting museum. Many interactive stations. The bar area has tables with memorabilia and a wall of photos that are amazing.
