One of the best experiences I have had. While not a baseball fan this should be a mandatory educational experience for young people today. The players played to the highest levels of Baseball, were very professional, served their country that hated them in one of the greatest wars of our time. They acquired themselves in such a way that the media and the American people clamored for better pay, treatment, and access for Negro league players. Modern players could learn a lot from their predecessors.

I went with the hubs because he is a huge baseball fan. Me? Not so much but I am very glad I went! This is a piece of history that everyone should learn about. There is a mock baseball diamond with life-sized bronze statues of players. Did you know there was a woman who played? I do now. Many video clips that explain the history of the Negro Leagues, baseballs signed by every player in the league, uniforms, equipment and much more. Go! I insist!

I found this museum to be a great way to learn about another aspect of baseball that you don't often hear about. There were some amazing players who never got to play in MLB about whom little is taught. This place tells their stories. It's definitely worth a visit. And an added bonus for fans of the band Rush: Geddy Lee's collection of autographed baseballs is on display here.

Really needs updating and a deep cleaning. Wonderful subject matter, just very limited amount of exhibits and a lot of them are damaged/worn/dusty. Lovely area of town as well.
