Nice hotel right across the street from Long Sands Beach.  Rooms are on the small side, but very clean and you will hear your neighbors, both next door & above.  They offer plenty of amenities and their location is good.  So depending on your needs this may be a good spot.

We stayed here at the beginning of the off season, first weekend in November, so we were able to find a Groupon and keep the weekend stay here under $200. 
That being said we did enjoy the indoor pool, which not many other hotels in the area have, as well as the bar that is attached to the pool. The views from the main building are amazing. 
They have two front buildings with beautiful views, one is regular rooms, the other is suites. There is a building behind the main one that I believe is more regular style rooms, as well as a small building on the very front edge of the property that I believe they call the lodges (3 attached units with multiple rooms in each more for vacationing families).
Right across the street from York beach, and within walking distance of so many restaurants it is an amazing place to stay.

First impression was that the Anchorage was nice. We did have an incident in the middle of the night where a ceiling tile & water came crashing down. Things happen and I understand that however, this was directly beside a 70+ year old woman. They didn't have a maintenance worker at 2:30am but sent an employee to "take a look". We checked out the possibility of getting some sort of compensation only to be denied. They are always booked so I guess our experience was meaningless to them.

The rooms are a little small, but they are beautifully decorated. The view of the beach is very nice, clean, with a big indoor pool, and hot tub. Small eating area, with adult beverages. Staff is very friendly, I can imagine it will be busy in the summer time, off season it is quiet. No gripes, or complaints. Will stay there again in the future.
