I have always had a pleasant and positive experience at this hotel. My family and I stay every time we are in the Portland area. The pool is amazing and so is the food in the restaurant. The bad experience that I did have this last time were issues with cleanliness of our first room and even an issue with our second room as we asked to move. Our neighbors were running down the hall and slamming the door non stop. The water was not hot enough to enjoy a hot shower, and in both rooms we found items left by guests behind furniture that were rather disgusting.  It indicted to me that the rooms were not being thoroughly cleaned.

Very kind and caring staff.  Enjoyed the heated outdoor salt water swimming pool.  My husband and son enjoyed the breakfast and said there were lots of choices.  We chose this hotel because it was close to the Maine medical surgery center in Scarborough where I had surgery on my shoulder.  They even allowed a later check out for us so my husband would have time to get back to get our things after dropping me off for my surgery.  We had a good parking spot right in front just a few steps from the main entrance. We were extremely pleased with our stay.  We even got a medical discounted rate because of my surgery.  I only needed to bring a letter from my doctor showing the date and a brief explanation to qualify for the rate.

My family always has a pleasant experience at this hotel. The rooms are nice and the free breakfast is pretty good. The pool is the main attraction for my family, we always enjoy swimming outside, even in the middle of winter! The staff at this location is so friendly and willing to help their guest with a smile. I will continue to choose this hotel whenever I am in the area.

What an amazing time here! Such a beautiful ròom. The heated pool is Fabulous! The only thing was hearing someone running on the treadmill at 5:30am! 
We visited The Maine Table that is attached and were very impressed with the atmosphere and food. Had the most amazing waiter named Howard. 
I see repeat visits in our future.

Although dated, this is a great hotel to stay at. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable. It was super fun for my family to swim in the outdoor pool in freezing temps. The only thing I have anything negative to say about is the breakfast attendants. Two out of three attendants were grumpy and rude and even rude to and probably humiliated their coworker who was actually friendly and doing her job well. We will definitely stay again.
