Poor upkeep of this place, no markings to find location of grave site, gopher holes everywhere no personnel to help you on a day like Memorial Day, would give zero stars if I could.

My sister is burried here and even though its not kept up if family of the ones burried here would come visit and put flowers it would look better. My oldest sister passed away in 2000

In the late 1990's I was part of an "Unsolved Histories" episode that was filmed at this cemetery. The director wanted a middle eastern looking location, and, this was it. We were there for an entire day, extending well into the night. While there, I took the opportunity to wander the grounds. I've always been fascinated by old cemeteries. I like to see who came before us, by what name they call God, and more. I walked deep into the mosoleum and off into the outbuildings. It was amazing. They should charge admission--I would pay to see it again. The place is magical, mystical and everything in between. It is like a time capsule, something out of another world. Yes, it is old, very old and run down. I guess once people stop paying to be buried there, the money needed to restore and upkeep the grounds is no longer available. It is clear no expense was spared sixty, even eighty or more years ago, when this place was built. Such is not the case now. Anything that can go wrong at a cemetery appears to have found its way here. Still, it is beautiful, absolutely stunning paintings, metal and stonework, stained glass windows, lead work and tiles. You will not regret having stopped here to touch this piece of life and human experience. Read the names on the walls, whisper them and bring them to life again. Read and speak the names and even if only for a moment, they are remembered.

the famous abbey, happy to have a original compton cemetery. historical place, lots of history . paramount mortuary is happy to work with them. all ways. saludos

Disgusting disrespectful cruel disturbing sight to see it's all scam the are still burying bodies but there over capacity ..
