Dr Gottschalk is the best! He came to our home and assisted in a peaceful and painless passing for our post-stroke, bedridden, beloved Ruby. We so appreciate his caring and professional attitude. We were glad to have Ruby pass in our home surrounded by loved ones cradling her gently and petting her softly, speaking words of praise to her.

When Dr. G. comes to your home, he will set up his laptop and take some basic data; he gives your pet a sleepy shot next, while you pet her/him.  While the sleepy injection is taking effect, he prepares the final one.  When you pet has thoroughly fallen asleep with you petting them, and making your heartfelt goodbyes, Dr. G. will administer the final injection.  

After your pet has passed he will check for a heartbeat, to make sure.  Dr. G. will then make notations of the prescription meds used in the process, because these are federally controlled substances.  We appreciate his attention to detail and his meticulous nature. Expect the appointment to be for about an hour.

Dr Gottschalk is kind,  and never in a hurry.  We trust him and we trust his opinions and diagnoses.  He was there for us through the discovery that our dog, TJ, had cancer.  He is still here with us four years later after full recovery!

I will be forever grateful to Doc they way he handled my dogs euthanasia he took rhe time to get to know my pet and us as well he made a difficult day bearable my beloved pet passed with respect and dignity Thank you The Licurgo Family

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gottschalk. He recently helped my parents handle their old, ailing cat. My mom was wracked with fear and confusion for days, and then my step-dad found Dr. Gottschalk. He came to the house that afternoon, not only assessed the medical condition of the cat, but also recognized her personality immediately. He communicated honestly and expertly with my mom, and was supportive and compassionate about her questions. 
If you are unfortunately looking for someone to come to your home for an ailing pet, then I am sorry, but I can recommend Dr. Gottschalk and know that he will help you as much as anyone can.

Dr. Gottschalk came to our home to help our family dog pass after she lost her mobility and stopped eating and drinking. I can't say enough about how glad we are to have called him. He helped us make the experience peaceful and totally painless for our pet.
