This review was made 29 Sep 2017. FACILITIES: The gym sits in a small strip mall on the slope of a hill and the natural lighting is good. The interior layout is divided into 3 distinct rooms with 2 offices, 4 bathrooms, a tanning booth room and a massage room. There is no aerobics/pilates/yoga room. The layout is very congested and usually there are one or two pieces of broken equipment sitting around. The bathrooms have no fans or circulation and so they often reek. Each bathroom contains a shower. EQUIPMENT: Despite posturing as a "warehouse bro gym lite," the gym in fact only has 1 squat rack and as you might expect it is often already occupied when you want to use it. The gym hosts a good selection of barbells. Of further mention on the equipment front are a reverse hyper and a belt squat machine. Many accessories and doo-dads are around like bands, chains, a block for deficit deadlifts, etc. Good range of kettlebells. The dumbbell selection is somewhat lacking-- they don't even have a single pair of 75's, for example. There is one spinning bike. TONE: Very macho, male oriented unless you simply hide on a treadmill in the front room and avoid the rest of the gym. They play loud heavy metal music sometimes over 2/3 of the gym speakers-- the kind where the "singer" screams unintelligibly from the back of his throat, and they play it so loud that your own headphones cannot compete with the volume unless you want to damage your hearing. The owner (Brian) is usually present and is an overbearing, headstrong know-it-all who will confront you about everything from your squat form, to how long you're taking to complete an exercise, to how loudly your dumbbells sound when they hit the rubber floor after a controlled descent. Newcomers to gym culture may assume that these intrusions are normal but gym veterans will likely resent the nitpicking and come to dread seeing the owner walk into the room. There is currently one other employee (Greg), and he is friendly and helpful.

Been going here for almost a year and love coming! I used to get a little anxiety going to the gym because I didn't know much about lifting, but the staff here has always made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Would recommend highly from beginners to gym rats, the trainer's here know how to work with any individual. Also, they have a very impressive variety of equipment.

Legit membership, unlike some other places. Clean, most machines usually available. No meatheads... well rarely.
