Liked the gym better than the YMCA because of equipment variety. Unfortunately my company transferred me one week after getting a membership here so I had to cancel. My last night working in Anderson, I dropped off a letter from my company explaining that I was being transferred to a different location and they told me that my membership would be cancelled the next day. A week or two later I called to check in because I never got any sort of confirmation that my membership was cancelled. Of course the guy on the phone had no record of my letter and said my membership was still active. I asked him to cancel it for the 2nd time and he assured me that I would not be charged again. Today is over almost a month later and MY BANK ACCOUNT WAS CHARGED. Called to try for THE THIRD TIME to cancel my membership and supposedly I'll be receiving a refund and it should be done and over with. Anyways, good luck cancelling your membership. You can expect to be charged for a couple months after leaving no matter what you do.

Won't cancel my membership even after I send proof off address change and continues to charge me even after multiple attempts to have them stop.

Asked to cancel membership many times. They don't tell you that you are agreeing to a 2 year contract. I stopped paying. Now they are threatening to put derogatory marks on my credit report. The whole back of the gym smells of urine. Just a dirty business plan.

I have been going to this Gold's for about a year now and have greatly enjoyed it. I appreciate that they are always looking for ways to make the gym better and are always welcoming. I especially enjoy the 24hr policy they have recently began. The gym is open all the time. I have never had a conflict with wanting to workout and not being able to because they are closed. Also, it is not overly priced. The only negative I have with the gym is that it doesn't have a pool. This is absolutely the only reason I plan to switch gyms in the near future.
