Best gym in an area badly in need of more gyms (its pricey)

Pros: excellent aesthetically, pool, basketball court, locker room is nice, plenty of cardio equipment, smoothies are good

Cons: 5 stars if it were cheaper. As other reviews have noted, for the price and size they don’t have the distribution of equipment I’d expect (coming from Golds) but typically not a problem

I have been paying for my family membership for over a year. The next closest gym to my house that is decent is 20 minutes away. So we joined. I bring my kids to play basketball or racquetball once a week and after a year, an employee won’t let them in. I pay a lot for a family and they want to charge me $15 to get my kids in. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused. Terrible service and price is ridiculous!

Staff is very friendly and gym is clean. However.. if you are serious about weightlifting and use the machines this gym is lacking many commonly used machines (especially for the price per month). The gym is full of different chest machines and has almost no back machines. The machines for back that they do have are not gong to give you a good workout as far as muscle building. Like one of the other reviews states.. since there is no competition in the area unfortunately this gym is the only option. Also if you are a young female be prepared to be stared at by older men who think your interested in them because this gym is full of them...uncomfortable.

Excellent fitness center as staff at reception desk knows you by name, nice amenities (locker room, towels, sauna, etc), group fitness classes and awesome instructors.
