I didn't think I'd rate any bar a 5/5 on yelp but here goes. Whiskey Tavern is an awesome dive bar with great music, some table, and a lively crowd. Pickleback (shot of whiskey + shot of pickle juice) was $7/shot which for NY standards, I guess a good deal. I've never chased anything with pickle juice before but it was very interesting, it cut the burning feeling real quick and you're left with a pickle taste.. which if you don't mind then this might be for you if you don't like taking shots. The bartender was friendly, and attentive, even for a full crowd. Start your night with this place, or end it. Either way, you're guaranteed a good time here.

Beautiful bar with amazing cocktails! It's hidden in alley in China town so happy hunting. The bar staff is incredible and they have a great knowledge of the drinks they serve. The air has incense so be prepared for that. My guess is it was myrrh. The cocktails are pricey but for the ingredients fair.

Stopped here after a day of drinking and wandering around. Great place to either start or end a night out. The drinks are a bit on the pricey side but worth it when looking for a perfectly made cocktail. The music is played at the right level to allow conversation to flow.

Fantastic bar. Hard to find entrance but part of the charm. Quite dark and loud inside tbh but very hipster. More importantly very good cocktails. But pricey. Located in middle of Chinatown, don’t expect to see a big sign or someone at the door. It’s a small brown wooden door that is kept shut. You open and go in and go through a set of curtains before entering the bar. You’re not allowed to keep your bags on you so they request you to give them to the cloak room. But it is free to use the cloak room so that’s not too bad.

Good cocktails but too pricey. The 6 cocktails were $18-$21, no food and a 20% gratuity was added because the bill was over $100 I have never heard of that. The menu says gratuity included on for parties of 6 or more. I think this is suspicious because we were only 3 people. No bar seats and no interaction with the bartender server only came twice both time to take our order so don’t see how they earned the 20%. Didn’t really hear any music that truly creates an atmosphere, very quiet.
