Long wait for phone times but actual physical location is good. I tried calling and held the phone for more than 40 minutes before I gave up. Then I just went into the office. The lady at the information desk was nice and helpful. There was hardly any wait and the ladies at the window were also nice and efficient. These guys are not bad at all. Go check the government offices in another state or Country. Have you been to California government offices? Arizona is very efficient. I know some big banks that are more bureaucratic and  slower than these guys.

So where exactly are my tax dollars going? Just went on their website to renew my TPT, saw that they want 300% more money than the City of Phoenix wanted before it switched to these people, I tried to email them but the email came back to me as the address from January 2017 is not valid any more, and of course there is no other email option on their  sublimely user unfriendly website. Who would have thought of a valid email address well into the 21st century, right? Then I naively called their number to try and leave a message after hours, as that's when I stumbled upon the issue, and their automated system not only does not give you a voicemail option, but it actually talks about tax returns in 2015 as compared to 2014, and it is now the end of 2017! What a bunch of highly professional individuals to give my tax dollars to! Oh my! But they don't mind you visiting them in the office, which to me means a drive from Surprise to their Phoenix office that I had to make in March, tremendous waste of time, and I clearly will have to make again, because now we don't even have an email option. I think this is the most unprofessional agency I have worked with. And I have worked with LOTS of people.

I am appalled that it can take an hour and a half just for them to answer the phone.  it is shocking to me that when requested to speak to a supervisor, I am told nobody is available so sorry!  Three phone calls later and 2 weeks later absolutely no action is taken on a 24 hour turnaround promise.  What a joke!  Then finally rude supervisor Chastity tells me it is an inbound call center that does not make out going calls and cannot do what they are promise to do.

The AZ Dept of Revenue has conclusively admitted that they believe their function is to harass honest citizens.
I received a threatening letter demanding a late payment that I knew nothing about -- I was expecting a refund, due to an honest error in filling out my form.  They claimed that three previous notices were sent.   None were received.  They admitted such notices must legally be forwarded.   THREE were illegally misdelivered???      Not credible.   I sent in payment with a letter requesting an apology for threatening me for an amount I had no way of knowing I owed.  If nothing else, a "sorry for the confusion" was definitely called for.
They did NOT apologize.   They did NOT respond in any way.   The only sane conclusion is that their claim of sending the previous notices was a deliberate lie and that they believe their function is to harass, cheat and abuse taxpayers.   Only a crook or a lunatic could possibly claim they have ANY consideration for the honest taxpayers of Arizona.
If this was a private corporation, a charge of fraud would be very probable.

Receptionist friendly and smiling. Advisor Patricia knowledgeable, pleasant, and easy to talk to. Resolved our problem in 15 minutes.
