Dr. Shields was terrible. He refused to do an allergy test on my husband who was and has been experiencing food allergies. He wouldn't listen to us and ordered medicine my husband was allergic to. We were written off terribly. Maybe they have some good doctors but I wouldn't recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ruddell's for several years. I was going yearly for my Asthma, then they wanted me to come every 6 months. My insurance wouldn't cover my existing inhaler and Dr. Ruddell would not do a pre-authorization. So she switched my inhaler. I had been on the new inhaler for over a year and it was working great, my Asthma was very well controlled. This year my insurance did the same thing with that inhaler so instead of signing a pre-authorization for me she switched my medication again. Not to mention she was upset with me b/c she filled my prescription May 2016 and it was now Feb 2017 and I this was my last refil even though she only wrote me a 6 month supply. She just automatically assumed that I wasn't taking my medication as ordered, forgetting that she gave me samples at the office in May and I also had a couple of my old inhalers left from doing them mail order before my insurance quit covering them. I asked the nurse if I could come by and get a sample of medicine until she could call me in something and was told they would call me back. I was without my Asthma medication for 2 days because all they were worried about was that 6 month appointment that I didn't make. Talk about MONEY HUNGRY!!! I have since cancelled my appointment and will be using my PCP to get my Asthma medication from now on. I am very disappointed in how I was treated. It's not like I was asking for a narcotic or anything. I just needed my inhaler! If I could give a "0" instead of a "1" I would! If you need to go to an Asthma or Allergy Dr I would recommend Little Rock Allergy & Asthma Clinic.

Although they were kind over the phone and helpful when getting an appointment, the doctor refused to listen to my husbands symptoms, he kept writing him off, saying all he had was a stuffy nose. He has severe asthma and went to this clinic to get help, because he can't breathe. Not because he has a stuffy nose, because he has asthma and cannot breathe! I am appalled that a doctor who specializes in asthma was unable to even listen to the symptoms because he was too busy, and wrote my husband off as someone with congestion. Not impressed. Perhaps they should try listening to their patients.
