Whether you're looking for a peaceful weekend in the mountains or an extended stay in western North Carolina, this KOA is the perfect choice. Head for the city sights of historic Asheville (just 14 minutes away), where you can tour the famous Biltmore House. Take a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoy the breathtaking views or hike one of the numerous trails. Perhaps you'd prefer to simply relax and stay at your campsite or fish in one of KOA's two stocked lakes. Your kids will love tubing and splashing in the gentle Swannanoa River, which winds its way through the middle of the resort. Nice Campground. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in 34 foot motor home back in. Nice river frontage. Firepit by the river. Construction and mud after the rain. Waking during the night twice by train that sounded like it was coming straight at us. But all in all nice, large campground. Would stay again.

Great Campground! Great location and well kept. Bathrooms are a bit dated but were clean. Appreciated the dog walk and fenced area where they could play. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Gave them 24 hour notice to cancel because below freezing temperatures April 7th. They said sorry wanted 48 hrs. and took the deposit money. Most class B’s cannot have water in the lines as if they freeze, the damage is costly We were driving down from Canada so the unit was still winterized. Last I checked water still freezes at 32F 27 if math is correct is lower than 32. Didn’t think when I booked Asheville would get that cold. We had been staying at Comfort Inns traveling South. Tonight we are in the RV at Hilton Head. Water tanks all filled. Given Asheville East KOA’s understanding Next time we will not take a chance at staying In the Asheville KOA in April and save giving away $45 for nothing.

We camp with a travel trailer. We stayed at b17... the site is level and spacious. The grass is in excellent shape. Our site has a concrete patio with table, chairs, bbq grill, fire ring, and lounge chairs. The bath house is older but clean. The staff is very nice.

This is the nicest KOA we have been to yet. 2 lakes and walking paths. Site we had was in shaded area which was great. Staff very helpful and accommodating.
