This is the most mystical, magical place on the entire planet. I love this forest and this campground there is no other campground like it anywhere! Allow mother earths mountains to engulf you . .when you are here you are inside her womb. The drive into the camp on 80 is just breathtaking! Clean bathrooms, Friendly helpful awesome staff that stays on site. Excellent hiking right from the campground.refreshing waterfall hike for set rock falls... immerse yourself in the brook find a rock and surrender to the earth! And by the way NO bears yet and ive been here more than once!!! Did I say quiet and peaceful??? Very quiet and peaceful in fact this is the only campground where Ive been to where all campers respect the earth and forest! This is a campground for real nature lovers!

Absolute favorite grounds of a camping road trip in July. Extended my stay because I didn't want to leave. Hiking is varied but sometimes crowded. I had site #1 which is the closest to the office and has a small path to the river. I spent sunny afternoons wading around and cool mornings exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. Staff is great, sites well managed with tent pads. Determined to visit again.

Nice and clean campground. You can bring your tent or RV and camp here. Great for all family. Beware that bears roam at night. Follow directions how to keep your campsite safe and all should be well.
