I really like the team here — the receptionists, dental assistants, and dentists are all super helpful and welcoming. The Aspen Dental platform is a bit more frustrating too work with. It’s very profit driven and likely to charge you for services such that you end up paying out of pocket for (I.e. unnecessary fluoride treatments, coloring, etc) without proper notice. So, great service from this location, but buyer beware in dealing with Aspen. For context, I have excellent, employer-provided coverage.

This place was an awful experience. I came here to get a cavity filled several months ago. The “dentist” that was performing the procedure was less than competent. The way he injected me with novicane was by repeatedly and quickly stabbing me in the gum with the needle. After waiting for me to get numb, he started drilling and I immediately felt pain. This guy injected as much novicane as he was medically allowed and STILL couldn’t numb me. We went through with the procedure and I was in excruciating pain, but I held in there. After all was said and done I paid my bill and got out of there. A week later I noticed that I was still sore and in some pain, like I never got the filling at all. I ended up going to a different, more reputable dentist to find out that the dentist at Aspen had CRACKED my tooth right down the middle while drilling into it. The new dentist I was at put a temporary crown on that tooth in hopes of helping my pain and protecting it. While it has protected it, it hadn’t relieved the pain. Which means I HAD to get a root canal. So all because I went to Aspen Dental to get ONE cavity filled while trying to save a little money, I have ended up having to go to another dentist AND a specialist to get a root canal and a permanent crown on that tooth. All for $3000 (dental work is very expensive, but I’m willing to now pay the price if it’s done RIGHT). I will never be going back to Aspen Dental and recommending it to ANYONE. This place is a absolute scam as well. As they tried to tell me I had about 17 other cavities and border-line gum disease (which was later checked by the other reputable dentist and these 17 cavities seemed to magically  disappear along with my gum disease). I know dental work is pricey, but please DO NOT go here. You will actually end up spending more money on terrible dental work with many problems as opposed to going to a good place and just getting the work done and over with.

I visited the Clinic in Portsmouth NH on Friday morning for a possible infection and a lot of pain, after I had a surgery done by a different group of dentists. There, I received an excellent service and found the staff very professional. In particular, Dr. Marquis who was very reassuring, sensitive and kind. I will go back without a doubt.

Lauren is my hygentist and she does an excellent job. She is courteous and very profession, just like every other employee at this location. Aspen is in my insurance network making it easy for me to deal with my insurance company. I would recommend this location to anyone who has Aspen in their insurance network.

I was totally impressed with the whole experience! From the efficiency of the ladies at the front and back desks to the hygienist . Dr. McFee? Am absolute treasure and asset to your practice!
